Friday night, with stack averages of about 4,000, you managed to work up to 26,000, then blow it. I’m guessing the working it up to 26,000 was the luck part, right?
Pocket J9, board came 99J, K, trash. The other guy had pocket KK. I think, I just remember my 9s full got hammered by Ks full. I was just lucky I didn’t have MORE to lose

Descriptions like that always make me wonder what the betting was. If you got all your money in on the flop, and he hit the miracle king to beat you, that’s one thing. If you were slow-playing the flop, and only bet big after he hit his kings full, that’s quite another.
And I’m trying to roll this thread to another page quickly, so I don’t have to see myself in 5th place every time I click on it.
I was pretty much all over it right off the bat, he had like twice my chips and called right away. The blinds are so high that even 26K is only a couple of rounds, you gotta go downtown when you get even a hint of a hand or the next guy will.
But I was propelled last night by a disgruntled customer who thought KK was good enough against my AA, so it evens out.
Man, I hate that AIM. I’d have to uninstall and re-up with a new user name. Sure is a lot of hassle.
