I posted a different link to the vid (pre-YouTube days) of tuff fish a long time ago during one of our games. It’s the one where he knows he’s beat, goes in anyway, gets beat and starts cussing until it sounds like he’s choking. Hyuachyuackakkk or something was the name of it.

Looks like it’s the Microgaming network. Once last week they had to cancel all tournaments for the day due to a software problem. That’d be my guess for tonight.

Dudes (and Dudettes (Hi, Missy!)): you have so got to start playing the dime SnG’s. I played one tonight and was absolutely crushing (yes, I, Oslo Ostragoth), holding between 1/3 and 1/2 of the chips in play for much of the game, until I hit a subzero run of cards and made a couple of very damaging decisions. Still, I finished in the money. Hand history to anyone who is curious, or I’ll post a couple of them here.

What it’s like: totally loose passive. Early on: 6, 7, 8 limpers to see the flop. 3- or 4-X raise in position wins the pot; or a limp from the blinds, followed up by a continuation bet of half- or full-pot postflop, would get folded around; sometimes even a probing-type bet in late position post-flop would get folded around. Mid-game: check-check-check to the river, or check-min bet-call to the river. These people were betting 10% of the pot, and getting folds! Late game: 2 of the guys seemed to be tired of me beating on them, and played back at me. Shoulda killed 'em when I had the chance. Still checking and calling when confronted with weakness, though.

I also played the late freeroll, finishing 1504/3910. A couple of interesting hands, and a couple of dumb decisions. I’ll post 'em here if anyone is interested.

Yeah, I finished 1794th last night Oslo. My AQc got outkicked by a slow playing AKo when an Ace came up on the turn…he would check, and I led the betting and he called each time except when he went all-in on the river and I made the call with the rest of my chips. Ah well, there went my imaginary life savings.

Won’t be in on Thursday’s game…I’ll be on the road to Sacramento and back in one day…ALL DAY (and some night).

I went out early last night in the freeroll. Hadn’t had a hand, already pissed away some of my stack, get AKc and raise in pretty early position. Folds around to the Bully, who re-raises me. OK, I call. Flop is all clubs, a Q 9 & something. I check, he puts me in and I call. He has QQ, 9 on the turn.
