Not only are you a sociopath, you’re a control freak.
Who the fuck raised you, anyway?
Not only are you a sociopath, you’re a control freak.

I’m such a control freak I raised myself! Because the parents weren’t doing a good enough job
I don’t think you’re the type to do much good. Atheists of your stripe are just as bad the Jack Chicks and Phred Phelpses of this world we live in. You are so fucking full of yourself that you go beyond disagreeing with different philosophies. You hate people who hold those philosophies. You are never going to accomplish anything good by doing that.
I respect atheism. I don’t respect hatred.
Oh psh, you’re just a myopic, sanctimonious dick. You still can’t admit to yourself that I believe what I do because of religion and its evils in the world. Would you tell a person being beaten that its not ok to fight back? Now imagine an ingrained culture of assault, that’s what we’re all living in. I choose to tell them to fuck themselves while you want to sit there and take the abuse with good humor, never to retaliate lest you be seen by idiots as just as bad as those you stand up to
I gave those people an easy and perfectly rational license to live: don’t push your religion on people. It is telling that some people continue to insist that I’m all for killing them out of some misguided and unjustified belief. Those conditions I outlined are exactly how religionists want atheists to live by. Just stay home, be quiet, and if you can’t say anything good about religion, don’t say anything at all.
You can go on claiming whatever you think my beliefs are but I’m never shy about expressing them, so if you want to ignore or distort it to make your case to other cultists reading this, be my guest. I’ll happily keep making the case that religion is the most harmful and foul thing created by mankind
Oh, noes. I made the guy angry who thinks that bullying is the way a board should be run. I’m so ashamed.
Oh, and the fact that so many people hate me is why I continue to post as I do. I’ve given up on sugarcoating it when people do things that offend me. Something you should support, with your pro-bullying stance.
Also, I regret to inform you that, up until you posted in this thread, I had forgotten about your existence. It’s nice to know that, even after all this time, I still take up residence in your head. Maybe there’s hope for your Republican-brainwashed brain, yet.
And thanks for the reminder that I shouldn’t have removed everyone from my ignore list.
That’s a good thing, as the ninja smiley doesn’t mean what you think it means. It means you made a post before someone else got to.
And, honestly, I don’t really remember much about you, so I guess you’re too boring to insult. I mean, what am I supposed to do with the fact that you actually like to eat foie gras?
You’re aware, I hope, that there are atheists against the legality each of abortion, prostitution, and recreational drugs? In that first case admittedly not many, but they exist (such as Doris Gordon, founder of Libertarians for Life).
That’s something that bothers me about the current crop of vocal atheists (although this is a tendency found more generally): attached to the label “atheism” they see anything they like. Atheism? It means being for legal prostitution; it means being for legal drugs; it means a welfare state, when it doesn’t mean capitalism and free markets. But most of all, it means being reasonable — and if only we killed all the theists everyone would be just as reasonable as me!
Unfortunately people are people. You think atheists are immune from those tendencies you hate so much in religion? Check out my username, which describes an entity who very much exists. Should we round up and eliminate everyone with a copy of Atlas Shrugged, too?
Oh woe the fuck is you. You are a white guy living in the US. You are not persecuted. Get over yourself.
Well, I’d prefer to think of it as “Evil Mastermind”…
And there are many religious people, such as me, who support the very same things he’s talking about. (Well, except for the kill all religious people)
People don’t fit into your neat little boxes. Of course, it’s always easier to paint things black and white. It means you don’t actually have to pay attention, and think, and realize that life isn’t all that easy.
Very much the truth. For persons such as YogSosoth, atheism provides a cypher for whatever enlightened set of opinions they happen to hold. But there are conservative atheists and liberal atheists; pacifist atheists and hawkish atheists; law-abiding atheists and thuggish, criminal atheists. Humanity has shown perfectly well that it doesn’t need religion to engage in predatory wars or to discriminate against the less fortunate. Those who point out that many of the founding fathers were nonreligious would do well to keep in mind the implication — that religiousness isn’t needed to enslave others or to nearly wipe out indigenous populations.
I’m not arguing that atheists should be good little martyrs and keep quiet; I’m not even arguing that they shouldn’t be rude and vocal about their beliefs. But to see even a small number of heretofore apparently reasonable people arguing that, in a just world, thought crimes would carry the death penalty? Even if that weren’t sick — and it is! — eradicating religion wouldn’t change what it means to be human one iota.
Aren’t you Catholic?
And the last time a religious person forced their views on me was when I wanted to buy beer on a Sunday.
Yes, I’m sure there are a number of atheists who are like that. Just as there are a number of religious people who are probably completely for divorcing themselves from public policy. Read the other thread about extreme views, were people supposed to go through their views with a list of exceptions? That’s always the problem with these types of discussions, someone will inevitably pop up and say there are small numbers of people who don’t believe that way and you shouldn’t demonize the whole group. As if we cannot have a discussion anymore on groups because no matter if the group is 2 people, there will be differences and we should only talk about individuals.
Understand that my attack on religious people was a simple mechanism for the types of people who are of the pushy, extremist, evil type. If you personally don’t fall into that category, or know someone who doesn’t, feel free to assume that my ire isn’t directed at you, because it isn’t.
Think reasonably (;)). Other than the extreme nature of killing all those people, why WOULDN’T killing the unreasonable ones make the world more reasonable? Its simple math, cut out the unreasonable ones, keep the reasonable ones, and you’ll only have one type left
I shouldn’t have to come up with a comprehensive list of every single like and dislike in order to list one thing I dislike. I am against religion. I’ll worry about the other stuff in other topics
I’m not white, so I’m more persecuted than you think! And persecution doesn’t have to be as bad as those in a third-world hellhole for it to be persecution.
You know, the most irritating part of these threads is when ITR Champion* starts his next thread about how atheists are just as petty and tribal as religious people and then the atheists come in and say, no we’re not, and then ITR Champion points to this thread and says, this atheist said he wants to kill all religious people, and we have nothing to say to that because he totally did. I mean, what can we non-crazy atheists do? It’s not like we can kick him out because there’s nothing to kick him out of, but as long as he posts this vomit he does nothing but shove our reputation further and further into the toilet. I suspect it’s people like him that cause some non-theists to insist on the ‘agnostic’ label even though it’s not really accurate.
*Possibly Chessic Sense (I keep confusing the two)
Imagine how Christians feel when someone goes out and blows up an abortion clinic (or does something else equally awful)
hugs FWIW I don’t think all atheists are assholes that want to kill all religious people. I think most atheists just wanna live their lives in peace, preferably without people all up in their grill every 2 seconds telling 'em that they’re gonna go to hell.
Anytime you’re in my neck of the woods, I’ll buy you a drink and we’ll sit around, atheist and Christian, and not be dicks
Now, now, reasonableness has no place in the Pit. Take it to MPSIMS … or just get a room, you two!
Not enough people have died, yet. Until the death-toll exceeds ten, we can’t have an upgrade. If you want to volunteer to kill yourself over it, we’d be one closer to the goal.
OK, I’ve got nothing new to add to what’s been said about the Pittee, but I want to jump on his shit, too, so here goes:
Says the person who, in the immediately preceding sentence said:
Communists and Nazis were pikers by comparison. In other words, this:
Some more choice quotes from our esteemed (yeah, right) Pittee:
No, assholes like you just go around telling people they should be killed for believing something different than you. Dickstain.
No, you choose to tell them that they should all be rounded up and killed because a few can’t play nice with others. Then, when called on that, you pretend that you gave them an out. Close examination of that out, however, shows that it amounts to “make sure I never find out that you have a religion, and we’re fine”.
Except for, you know, the whole “kill them all first, then spare the good ones” bit.
Yes, it’s perfectly reasonable to kill everyone who pisses you off. We let people off of murder charges all the time for the “they pissed me off” defense.
Has it ever occurred to you that what you see as “persecution” may, in fact, be people noticing you are an asshole, and treating you appropriately? For some inexplicable reason, I’ve never felt persecuted for my lack of belief in gods, which is hard to believe, given the universal persecution of atheists you claim. Yeah, I’m leaning toward the “they persecute you because you’re an asshole” theory.
