Vanilla low fat, no sugar added yogurt, and I add my own frozen berries.
Greek yogurt, plain or perhaps vanilla. I like to stir in some granola and perhaps some blueberries.
We usually buy plain yogurt and stir in a spoonful of jam. Same concept as FOTB, but it’s cheaper, and you don’t get that weird curdled layer between the yogurt and the fruit.
I’ve had good examples of both kinds, but I don’t think I’ve ever had a really bad “fruit on the bottom” yogurt. I’ve had some pretty crappy blended stuff, though.
Same here. I have tried many different brands and varieties, but for the most part, I don’t like yogurt. I like TCBY frozen yogurt, but that sort of defeats the purpose of eating yogurt. As for the trend of using frozen yogurt instead of ice cream/ice milk in “milkshakes”, Do Not Want. It tastes sour and sometimes even soapy, and again, if the yogurt is frozen then I’m not getting the live culture, so why bother?
I’ve had a few dishes that used yogurt in them that I actually liked. There’s a gelatin dessert, and deviled eggs with yogurt instead of mayo. For the most part, though, I’ve quit even trying to find a yogurt that I’ll eat. Instead, I take probiotic chewtabs.
When I hear the phrase “Greek yogurt,” I think of the garlic yogurt I had the first time I visited Crete. Wonderful stuff…
Astro Balkan style. Higher fat than most, not that I need the calories, but it just tastes really good for plain yogurt. Sometimes I add leftover cranberry sauce or maple syrup if I want more of a treat.
