"You just got passed by a girl x"

I was passed by a girl once while struggling up a steep hill on my mountain bike. Ok, it probably happened more than once.

:notes: “I am woman, watch me pass” :notes:

It was probably designed in the US, but they sell these things on Amazon these days:

Can’t speak to the rest of your post.

I think the attitude is simple. The assumption is that some men think they are manly when passing people, bragging about how fast their cars are, etc. A person with that bumper sticker is simply hoping to annoy/chastize such men when passing them.

If it’s Sabine Schmidt, and you are on the Nurburgring in a Ferrari and she’s passing you in a transit van, it’s also a reality check on your male ego and why having the baddest car does 't mean as much as you think.

RIP Sabine.

If she rode for ONCE, there’s no shame in that.

Amen.

Was she behaving dangerously?

I’m generally not a fan of bumper stickers, but almost 40 years ago I put one on my Chevy Chevette that read “Nixon/Manson in '84.” Couldn’t resist it.

Having aged-out of the aggressive, discourteous driver demographic, I’m passes by “girls” all the time

…who are driving cars probably maintained by men.

(…who were birthed by women. So; circle of life and all that.)

TWO cycling dorks at ONCE. What are the odds?

Obviously I missed the first reply… but you just set it up so well it attracted all dorks in the vicinity

I once had a bumper sticker that said “Real women know how to handle a stick.” I did not literally believe that either lesbians or chicks who drove automatics weren’t real women.

Calling all dorks, calling all dorks. We have a code 12 set up line in MPSIMS. Repeat code 12 set up line in MPSIMS. Proceed without caution.

Stick shift or could be a hockey stick?

When I was like 12/13 we were playing spin the bottle and when my spin pointed at Jerry who was my age and a little taller I challenged him to a foot race instead of a kiss and if he won he’d get a kiss.

I beat him by a stride and he still wanted to kiss me.

Why couldn’t (some) woman feel exactly the same as (some) men do about passing - ie more ‘powerful’ (maybe even womanly if you prefer), and bragging about how fast her car is etc.
Maybe it gives her extra bravado, and boosts her self-esteem by being able to (in her mind) belittle some members of the driving population.

Then again, any woman she overtakes will also get to read the sticker. Now I’m confused.
