I disagree on who should do the time, though I agree the woman needs therapy. Were I the judge, I’d tell the woman, “In this country, adults take responsibility for their own actions, regardless of your personal beliefs as to whom you wish to relegate it.”

She and her husband also cannot provide a marriage license. Another tenant of their beliefs is that the government has no part in people’s lives, so it is unacceptable to go through the government channels to file your marriage license or take your driver’s test.
Shit like this just makes my brain ache… I really do wonder how a light didn’t flip on in this woman’s head - a little blip of a thought along the lines of, “Maybe it would be a better idea to concentrate solely on operating my 2,000 lbs. vehicle right this minute”.
