My husband was telling me about a dimly-recalled skit where someone is trying to buy a stereo but knows absolutely nothing about them. He thought it might be Monty Python, but we can’t find it. I said somebody here would know. 
There was a Mr. Show sketch in which a guy offers deals on speakers, and it turns out that he just takes the customers to a prefectly ordinary electronics shop. He later takes them to his mom’s house to hook them up with some potatoes, mashed.
We don’t have any gram-o-phones here grandad!
