Back to the Thread and the OP and the discussions that were.
Tonight my Daughter on her own (age 8) read to my son (age 5) while he was going potty. He has some difficulties with this and usually needs some company.
It was great that she just decided to do this.
My son after his bath, saw that I had his clothes ready to go to the washer. So he started dragging the full laundry bin to the utility room and then started loading the washer.
The feeling of pride over these silly little minor events was never matched by anything any dog or cat we have ever had did.
It is just so different.
