Can I count the one I did this afternoon when I put money in the dryers for this hasseled young mother with an upset infant at the laundermat?
Will this thread self destruct?
[sub]and thanks for putting the MI theme song into my head[/sub]
arden: but of course it counts. but do another just to be sure!
**ShibbOleth **: you don’t want to know what will happen… trust me.
I just rescued a kitten from a tree!
Actually it wasn’t a kitten, it was a beer.
and…
It wasn’t so much a tree as a refrigerator.
however…
I treated myself to a random act of kindness. Right?
If its an assignment, how can it be random?
Can I just make preplanned acts of kindness?

Once a lady bought me tea becuase I was cold and didn’t have any money. I wasn’t begging or anything. She just thought I looked cold.(I was freezing my tail off because I forgot a jacket.) Next time I see her I am going to buy her some tea. I was eternally greatful. I have done a couple random acts of kindness(sharing of pens and pencils and scantrons) but nothing compares to what that nice lady did for me.
Hey, cool! I did this just today. Saw an elderly lady using a wheelchair scooting through the grocery store. At the frozen food section, she opened a door and pizzas fell out. I picked them up and then asked her if she was trying to reach something. Yep, she sure was. So I climbed up on the rail and got the pizzas she wanted down for her.
Happy me.
(**pezpunk:**Hee hee!
I passed out shark at work.
The other day I was at the airport and saw a lady having a hard time manuevering the escalator with her luggage and laptop computer. I asked her if perhaps she would like me to carry them down the stairs for her and meet her at the bottom. She took me up on my kind offer.
This laptop is SOOOOOOO much better than the one I used to post with and my fiancee loves her new wardrobe.
[sub]do any of these count?!?![sub]
I was exceptionally civil to my cow-orker today. Considering that I am barely sleeping lately, he annoys me, and I had to spend all day with him.
Does that count? It really took a lot of effort. I’ll try to do better tomorrow.
I live at the corner of a busy intersection which has no traffic lights or street lights. Twice in the past week I have heard a massive crunch outside, grabbed shoes and cel and run out the door. The first time, I did my best to calm down two people trapped in a T-boned minivan. The second time I helped two girls who had just taken out the bottom of their car on the median. In addition, while walking through the Black Marsh the other day I helped a gentleman whose car broke down.
I’m doing my fill of good deeds, but I’d rather not hear any more crunches outside my window please!
I also like the approach of these folks. One of my usual acts is, when I’m done with my laundry at the 'mat in my apartment complex, to prepay a machine and/or drier and just walk off to leave it for someone to find and use.
