I’ve said it several times before, but it bears repeating - She’s the best surprise I ever got.
She’s certainly crafty. hehe
One child, definitely not planned. Sixteen year-olds don’t plan for shit.
My two siblings and I were also not planned and were born in spite of three different birth control methods.
Nature bats last, people.
One child, planned.
And to be fair, we didn’t experience any fertility issues, we were newlyweds when I got knocked up, I I know EXACTLY when I ovulate. (I get pretty bad cramping on one side or the other and then 14 days later - period.)
Sooo, even though we were having sex pretty well every day (newlyweds) we knew exactly when I was ovulating and had, erm, more sex then.
Happened the second time we tried. I attribute it not happening the first time to the fact that I was taking ibuprofen for pain relief at the time and read on here that its regular use can make conception difficult so I stopped for a month and BLAMMO! Blammo is now 9 months old.
Really bad planning.
My husband and I talked before we were married and thought having three would be just right. So we had twins 13 months after we got married. Didn’t think it would happen that quickly. When they turned four we thought we’d get that third one in just as the twins started school.
Pain and Heartache are 24 years old now and we are still waiting for that third kid.

Heh, we fit into your second group without the fertile problem. Must be the engineering mindset. Didn’t want kids, used birth control. When we wanted kiddies we went for it. For the first kid we were told we had to wait two months after stopping bc to start trying. It took us, OMG, two whole months after that to conceive. (Read somewhere that every other day is better than every day and went on that schedule, oh the pain of those other days.) For the second kid, we weren’t using the bc pill so when the time was right we stopped the other kind of bc and went back on the every other day schedule. Within one cycle I was preggers, w00t.
One day after the second kid’s birth I got a tubal ligation. Life is good.
First, planned.
Second, planned like the royal wedding - IVF and nine weeks in the hospital at the end leading to a scheduled C-section.
