I use this website too. I love that I can change my desktop every day if I want to. They have a really wide selection. Right now I have one called “Pending Precipitation”. It’s a picture of a storm over the ocean, but taken from maybe 50 miles away. The cloud formation is pretty cool.
I’m surprised nobody has mentioned the venerable PROPAGANDA yet (dear god, will their website ever stop getting weirder?). I’m currently using the-bot-is-dead-7.jpg (tiled, of course).
Right at this moment, it is my grandaughter. I have a whole directory of wallpaper, though. I even have phony versions of the MS default ones.
My versions of “clouds” has a little bird flying in it.
I have “bricks” and “grass” and “leaves” and “rocks” and “ducks” and half a dozen nebulae.
I also have an icon editor, which is great fun. Instead of “My Computer” I have an apple with a bite out of it, named “Byte Me” My network neighborhood icon (I have no network) is entirely transparent. It is named “quack” but is lined up so that the name doesn’t show.
Maybe not as interesting to the world but I have a picture of the Chancling on my machine at work. She’s about 4 months old and we caught her giving the ‘thumbs up’ sign.
My wallpaper is an image of the second-most beautiful woman in the world, Jennifer Connelly. In the past I have had images of Maggie Cheung or Jessic Alba as the screen candy.
