Your favorite dog/cat/bird breed.

Me, I love my Ragdolls. The female thinks she’s a dog. The male is the sweetest lump of a cat ever.

They have Trader Joe’s in Bulgaria now? Cool!

Dogs: I’m of the opinion that you can’t beat a standard mutt - and I’m not talking about a lab/poodle mix or any of that nonsense, I mean a shelter dog where you don’t have a clue what their parentage is.

But if I must pick an actual breed I’m going to go with a lab. They’re fun and kind of goofy but can be incredibly smart, they’re friendly and I’ve never heard of a lab who wasn’t equally up for a nice cuddle or a few rounds of fetch. And if you’ve got a lab, some largish body of water, and something floaty to throw, you’ve got yourself a picture of pure joy, plain and simple.

Birds- I love mitred conures. They have voice like being trapped in a dumpster that is being sexually assaulted by a robot donkey, but they can be sooo charming, playful and cute that you forget about the voice. They are an interactive, assertively personable bird that LURVES to do things with you, and have long conversations that exceed their vocabularies.

Pyrenean Shepherd
Turkish Van
Kestrel - either European or American. I just can’t keep caged birds anymore, so I just watch the wild ones!

(oh, shoot - this was Fetchund saying the above… I haven’t done that mistake for a while!)

I wish! That picture was, of course, taken after the Bulgarian street cat immigrated to the US.
