The Toonces-nator just wanted to be our kitty.
Cheetara.
Battle Cat.
From Hanna-Barbera:
Snagglepuss
Pumpkin Puss
Snooper (from Snooper and Blabber)
Heheheh. I’d forgotten Bob Newhart’s voice saying “Meow” for his show’s closing cat.
Cat in the Hat.
Garfield
Bill the Cat from Bloom County
Puss in Boots
Sylvester
Lupin, Puck, and Elvis from Breaking Cat News.
Top Cat. He’s the boss, he’s a VIP, he’s the championship!
Top Cat–the indisputable leader of the gang!!
<I need to google all the words to that song>
He’s the chief, he’s the king, but above everything,
He’s the most tip-top
Top Cat!
I can’t believe it took more than 20 posts to mention these! You got mine.
Mrs. Slocombe’s pussy. And I am unanimous in this.
Pepe’s victim got the name “Penelope LePew”
Don’t forget poor Claude Cat from Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies - the victim of Hubie and Bertie (mice) and yapping dog.
For obscure Looney Tune: Beans the Cat (was supposed to be what Bugs eventually became)
The cat in “Dead cat bounce”
Rhubarb! I loved this movie.
Pixel (from Heinlein’s later works) is the first that comes to mind. A cat who can transport himself across space and time to different universes and also travel through solid surfaces…that may be the most amazing cat ever.
Puss in Boots was the second that came to mind. Again another talented and accomplished cat.
The cat from “My Father’s Dragon” is not that amazing though he can talk, but he was still one of my favorite fictional cats.
I probably did this already, That Darn Cat
No love for Schrödinger’s cat?
I have that on a T-shirt.
Side note: The hugely popular Hawaiian chain of Crazy Shirts shops has a whole line of Kliban T-shirts.
(No, I don’t work for Crazy Shirts.)
