Your favorite movies not on video

This afternoon, I turned the TV on to Turner Classic Movies and found *Reveille with Beverly*, a delightful 1943 film about a woman who becomes a radio DJ broadcasting popular music to the soldiers at a local Army camp. Unfortunately, it’s not available on home video, which means I’ll have to find out when it’s scheduled to air again and record it at home. Since the history of broadcasting is an area of interest to me, and since it’s based on real DJ Jean Ruth, it’s something I’d like to have in my collection.

Robin

We get these threads from time to time, and some of my favorites have finally appeared on video.buttwo of them still have not, to my knowledge, been publicly released on VHS or DVD or any such form:
The 1964 movie Robinson Crusoe on Mars (which was pretty good)

The TV movie Judge Dee and the Monastery Murders
And, of course, Disney’s Song of the South in the US.

I have copies of all of these on VHS, made from TV or from European editions, so they’re not that difficult to obtain. An immense amount of garbage is released and seems tpo be profitable. I can see why Disney doesn’t want to release SotS, but why haven’t the other two been released?
