Apparently, I’m on a video game kick: Mister Rogers meets Donkey Kong. It seems so strange to see the typical Mr. Rogers personality and music in something so modern (well, '80s modern) as a video game. I think this, more than anything, shows how Mister Rogers is truly a man for all seasons- as well as a man who would be mortified by most games on the market today.
Sorry to interrupt the zombification of this thread, but I found a pretty cool YouTube vid. It’s a helicopter whose rotors appear to be spinning very slowly, yet it’s still flying. The effect is caused by a video frame rate that nearly matches the rate of the rotation of the blades.
In what appears to be a YouTube milestone, the comments are actually very helpful in explaining what caused the effect. My favorite part is that one user that seems to have noticed this, and, in keeping with YouTube tradition, added on to the end of his comment: “oh yeah, and DERRRRRR!”
Well, would that fact that it’s on metacafe (and not YouTube proper), or that fact that it’s a tiny bit NSFW preclude me more from linking to the video I found of a team of Japanese women playing Taiko drums…nude?
(Funny story, really…I was actually looking for nose art of Soviet bombers when I stumbled across that one. Oh, the funny things you can find on an art blog! )

Too odd to resist. Yep, Naked Japanese Stomp.
