Your favorite Youtube video (new thread)

I don’t know; a friend sent it to me and I’m not sure if it’s from a show or just a home video of some sort.

Oh my god–that is hilarious! I just played it ten times in a row and I’m still laughing!

As someone who doesn’t know how to ride a bike, I’m impressed they were able to stay in a straight line like that. Very David Lynchian–thanks!

I was just going to post that!

This would be number 1:

Which is followed closely by number 2:

They’re both horrifying and wonderful at the same time.

I’m Wario. I’m gonna win!

Here’s a clip from the mildly hilarious premiere broadcast of BBC 2, which went on the air on the very night in 1964 that London had a massive power failure. This forced them to do the evening news from a back-up studio consisting of a makeshift press room, a rather vague young man in a sweater reading one piddling feature item after another, and a ringing telephone that constantly interrupts him.

“Well…something has started.”

Are you ready, boys? I want some discipline.

I forgot I found this one a few days ago:

A guy in a banana suit at a Devil Ray’s baseball game, just wait to the moment when suddenly the dancing banana suffers a malfunction and starts to deflate.

Definitely my favorite of the moment: Laser Magic!

And this (possibly NSFW ads) seems to be the source of the prairie dog video. If you click back to the videos page, they’ve got some funny parodies of the dramatic one too.

What a monumental piece of utter crap.

From time to time, a philosophical question of aesthetics arises: “is anything really worthless?”. That link will convince all but the most stubborn holdouts that indeed something is.

This video (“Girlfriend” by Avril Lavigne) was shot a couple of blocks from my house.

There are a significant number of important and historical jazz videos that might warrant a separate thread if the interest is great enough, but I will hold off starting such a thread until there’s another post here to suggest it might have a following. Either that or somebody else will take the plunge.

Meanwhile, I’ll suggest some Bill Evans things that can be seen on the sidebar to accompany this first installment of The Universal Mind of Bill Evans - 1/5 which is itself a fine tutorial on jazz musicianship that might appeal to budding jazz people.

I don’t get it. What game is that?
