In the Merovingian’s castle (?) right as his wife, Neo, Trinity, and Morpheus are about to waltz out of there with the Keymaker and the Merovingian busts through the doors with his body guards and tells her she’s got some splainin’ to do.
Thank you! I noticed the plate the first time, and made a mental note to look closer the next time to see what it said, but the second time I got distracted just then and missed it again.
I’m with everybody else here, I just keep nodding my head and saying “yep, yes, that too!”
I also liked Trinity’s line, after seeing the Twins do their spooky thing, “That’s a nice trick” and her “Excuse me?” when Persephone asks for a kiss from Neo. Damn I love Trinity!
“Where’s my pu–Oh, hey children!”
Was anyone else confused by the rave that manifested almost immediately after Morpheus’s rousing speech to the populace of Zion?
Anyway, I still have to see the film in its entirety sometime.
I caught it in the big trailer prior to release - the way they shot Neo stopping the hail of bullets fired by the Merovignian’s henchmen. They placed him so that his head obscured the capital M inside a circle within the large mural, so you just see the lines radiating from it, effectively giving him a Divine Halo.
Did anyone else catch the bit somehere during the big freeway car chase/fight/explosion part of the movie where you hear on the police radio a call for “One Adam-12?” I was the only one in the theater who laughed, and had to explain the joke to my kids after the movie.
(man I feel old sometimes…)
I loved the Zion dancing scene after Morpheus’s speech.
And i LOVED the twins!! admires new twins desktop
(I caught One-adam-12)
That license plate thing is incredible… wow… talk about subtle. I could watch the movie 20 times and never notice that.
Fave moments: the semi collision, The fight on top of the Semi, MECHS in Zion, Just about every scene with Smith and the Keymaker.
Hooray for Smith’s plate! That’s definitely one of the cooler bits.
Did anyone happen to catch the plate number of the 18-Wheeler? It’s shown quite prominently a couple of times, but I didn’t catch in either time I saw it in the theatre, it’s not legible in the bootleg I have, and I don’t want to wait until I have the opportunity to buy the DVD to satisfy my curiousity. (Plenty of other pixels that need zoomin’ in on in that sucker, anyway.)
“It’s like wiping your ass with silk!”
That’s the best line I’ve heard in a movie all year.
And, yeah, I could spot the CGI in the Burly Brawl, but whatever. Maybe a year from now they would have been able to make it look completely real, but my jaw was still agape for most of it.
When I mentioned the Morpheus/Agent fight on the Semi, I forgot to mention that it was at that point that a tear ran down my face, and I realized I hadn’t blinked in about 5 minutes…
