Your Favourite Disney Princess

Wow…I figured “Ok, I’ll be one of the two or three that pick Mulan”, and here she is in a close second place.

Grumman got it in one.

Mulan kicks ASS.

Currently first place, with Belle close behind.

Eric is Ariel’s prince.

I always thought (and still do) that the Beast looked much better as a beast than a man. Maybe it’s because we see so little of him as a human and get used to him as the Beast.

Hard to say which my fave is. I like Mulan, and Pocahontas. Belle always reminded me of me though, so I think I’d pick her, but when I was at Disneyworld I only got myself with Pocahontas (well, and others too, but we’re talking Princesses and I have a son so he was more into Lightning McQueen and Buzz Lightyear than Ariel and Belle).

I like the Beast as the best Prince (once he’s done being grumbly etc then he’s like a big teddy bear!) but for the handsomest it’s got to be Eric.

Have yet to see The Frog Princess so I can’t say about her…

The Small One loves princesses so I like the ones who show some spunk and grit and rise above traditional gender roles, like Tiana, and Mulan. I guess Lilo doesn’t count but I like her, too.

Belle doesn’t really do anything to merit my admiration, but the model who played her at Disneyworld last month was amazingly kind to my daughter and really gave the Small One some memories to cherish, so Belle gets a vote just for that.

What, not even a nod for Princess Calla? For shame.

Thank you! I knew it was a short name like that.

I hate the whole “Disney Princess” concept, and it was one of the reasons that I couldn’t enjoy Kingdom Hearts (which I prefer to refer to as Final Fantasy: Disney) as much as I otherwise would have.

I voted for Mulan, because she’s NOT a princess, and because she tries to be a dutiful daughter, but in the end she is valued for her abilities and actions.

Belle was a very close second for me, though.

I voted for Jasmine–I always wished that I could have a pet tiger, too. I even had a stuffed Rajah toy from Disney World. Plus I thought her outfit was cool and she was spunky.

Ooh. Good call. An oft overlooked Princess, and I thought she was great. Arguably my only cartoon crush. I wish they’d release the rest of the series on DVD.

Mulan! She’s badass. I love that scene where she cuts off her hair with a sword, puts on her father’s battle armor, and rides off to report to the army.

Belle. She’s smart, kind, brave, resourceful, imaginative, and loves to read.

Nala.
Feminine, fierce, funny.

Hear, hear. How many other Disney princesses ever ended up wearing plate armor?

I voted Cinderella, because I love the movie (and because my 3 year old invariably refers to her as “Bibbi-bobbi-boo”). But Belle is a VERY close second because she is a book lover like me!

I based my choice on the sound track that I liked the best. Mulan is a close second.

Mulan, though there are many good choices.

As the father of two young girls and a Disney-phile I have spent more than my fair share of time at Disney World and met young ladies portraying most of them. They are certainly well trained.

Tinkerbell, while not a princess, will always be my favorite because, as I’ve detailed before, she’s the only one who has smacked my ass.

Aurora. Mainly because I liked the story better than the others. Now for villains, Malificent is in a class by herself.

I haven’t seen most of those movies so I’m not qualified to vote (though I did, for Tiana, because she’s the only one listed that I have seen), but one you missed was Gisele from Enchanted.

I haven’t seen Mulan or The Frog Princess, but of the others, I have to give it to Ariel for the stupendous pompadour. Jasmine is a close second.
