Your first celebrity crush . . . then and now

Farrah and the poster. How could she go and marry the 6 Million Dollar Man and break my heart?

The first celebrity crush I can remember was Lindsay “The Bionic Woman” Wagner.

Bionic-era Lindsay:

She turns 63 this year. If she’s had work done, it’s been subtle. She still looks pretty good.

His bodyguard got much better looking, too.

Might be. Here’s a recent shot of Cheryl:

Holy crap! I didn’t even notice. He always plays a bruiser, doesn’t he?

The earliest celebrity crush that I can recall is Robert Brown (Jason Bolt) of “Here Come the Brides.” He was handsome, masculine, could ride a horse, and chop wood. ::Swoon::

Cannot find a recent picture of him, but he’d be in his mid-80’s now so I’m thinking he might have lost a bit of his brawny good lucks.

My second celebrity crush, Barry Gibb, is a whippersnapper compared to Robert Brown. Gibb is now in his 60s. He was aging very gracefully until the death of his brother, Andy. And he still insists on wearing his hair long even though much of it is gone.

Old and recent pictures can be found here:

Labrynth Jennifer Connelly, vs. today Jennifer Connelly. I would like to see her with a little more weight on her these days, but that’s not much to complain about.

When I was 12.

Now.

Not too shabby.

Usually, although my favorite role of his was on Angel, where he was less brutish and *much *more menacing (and crushable, IMO).

My first celebrity crush was actually on Alan Alda from MAS*H. I was obsessed with that show as a kid. He’s a bit too old for me to think about now, unfortunately (as a 20-something).

David McCallum
then
Ilya Kuryakin
now
Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard
Not bad at all for 78 years old!

A relatively obscure one, but I had a big crush on Ari Meyers, the brunette daughter on Kate & Allie (and really, what other reason did a teenage boy have to watch Kate & Allie other than one of the two daughters?).

Then
Now(ish)

I regret nothing

I had a huge crush on Wil Wheaton during the Wesley Crusher days.

I recently went on an awesome nerd cruise organized by Jonathan Coulton and Paul & Storm, and Wil Wheaton was one of the performers. I got to meet him at one of the parties, and he was wearing this. The crush lives on. It helps that he grew into a funny and talented geek, which is exactly my type.

Fezzes are cool. Wil Wheaton is my Twitter crush.

I had a crush on both Dempsey and Makepeace, and they’ve both aged well. And, after meeting on that show, are still together something like 30 years later.

Then.

Now for Makepeace.

Now for Dempsey..

They’re both still gorgeous.

Wil Wheaton was my first celebrity crush as well. He’s grown up quite well. I loved him on The Guild; love how he’s willing to make fun of himself with that part. It’s so over the top. And the recent exchanges with The Bloggess have really reinforced the idea that I chose well when I was 12.

Of course, by the time I got to 14, I was crushing on Picard. A captain is much better than an “acting ensign.”

I’m glad you provided links, otherwise I would have thought that Patrick Dempsey and Christopher Makepeace were a longtime gay couple.

David McCallum and Leonard Nimoy for me, too. Not very original. I’m trying hard to think of anyone before them, but other than various rock n’ roll types, it’s all a misty void.

Jenna von oy, six from blossom. She’s still incredibly hot, and actually a lot less annoying.
