It was probably The Blue Lagoon. My dad took my sister and me to see it in the theater. I would have been 11 I guess, and my sister 9. I also recall seeing Death Race 2000 about that time (it ran uncut on the local independent channel) and there is a shot of full frontal in that when the racers are getting massages and they start sniping at each other.
It was either that summer or the next when I discoverd “Cinemax After Dark” and such nudie-fests as **Young Lady Chatterly **and Bilitis and about 30 other soft-core flicks.
She also was nude, walking down a school corridor, in Teachers, which came out about the same time.
For me, first full frontal female nudity was The Last Married Couple in America. [Posted this here before] My parents dragged me and my sister off to see it (I was 18, sis 14), and I had loads of fun trying to dig a deep hole in my seat when the scene in question (which was not shot erotically in the least, hence no stirrings in the nether regions) came up and my mom, an inveterate prude, giggled nervously throughout the entire thing.
Oh, man, I remember watching that one on HBO. Very silly. I distinctly recall the “stunt cock” they brought in, because their lead actress was such a bitch that their star couldn’t maintain an erection with her.
Hmmm…well, not counting National Geographic specials, I’d say either Interview With the Vampire when I was…12? Or, likely, one of the Terminator movies, probably T2, which I practically wouldn’t count.
Odd little movie. Anthony Newley, George Jessel, Playmate of the Year Connie Kreski. One of those dull, satirical movies they did in the 60s, but lotsa skin.
Some porno movie on TMC. I just was enjoying watching something that was scrambled. Just getting around the rules. Then I see some girl in the jungle take off her clothes for no apparent reason. I assumed they would cut to the “non-sexual” parts of her body. They did not.
Wound up causing a lot of problems in my life. Not that I care to elaborate, though.
A little off subject - but not really. How crazy is it at 44 that Sandra Bullock is doing her first nudity shot in the film “The Proposal.” The nudity shot of Ryan Reynolds is not a bad thing either!!
My mother took my brother and me to see The Bible…In the Beginning (1966). A beautiful Adam and Eve enjoyed Eden in the altogether. No frontal nudity, but still a thrill. They weren’t hiding behind convenient branches and bushes like in illustrated Bibles. They were really naked. Mom even bought us the souvenir program (remember those?) with photos to remember it by!
I was wracking my brains, trying to see if I could remember what it might have been. But this exact scenario is what happened to me, too!
I think I saw nudey bits before that day, on a British or French movie that might have screened late at night. This was the Seventies, after all, people were getting naked left right and centre if you knew where to look. But I can’t recall specifics.
I was wrong when I posted earlier. It wasn’t in '66. It was in about 1958, yes and on television. I was just a kid, but with stirrings, trust me there were stirrings. I was home alone watching the local broadcast of old movies and a German documentary (made by Hitler to celebrate the beginning of his Third Riech) of the 1938 Olympics came on. I was getting ready to walk up to the set and change the channel (I didn’t speak German, for heaven’s sake), and then it began. For those of you who haven’t seen this classic, it begins with three nude young attractive blond women dancing around and playing with a large beach ball. I was 11 or 12 at the time and I literally thought I was imagining the whole thing. I mean nude blond women did not appear on television in 1958. I knew that, but here they were.
Olympia (1938), directed by Leni Riefenstahl. But it wasn’t made by Hitler or the German Reich; it was commissioned by the International Olympic Committee.
I don’t remember the first nudity I ever saw, but when I was 8 I moved to Paris, and on the Champs Elysee one theater had a poster for the first Emmanuelle movie - It was like 3 stories high, and Sylvia Kristel was naked except for a string of beads sitting in a rattan chair. They played that movie in that same theater for the whole five years ('74 thru '79). I can’t recall the first film I ever saw that had nudity… it might have been something on French TV.
Not to mention Delores Taylor tied spread-eagled and naked before being raped, and bad guy Bernard cutting a girls bra off while they’re sitting in a car together. This was my first movie nudity when I was around 12 or so, with my Dad sitting next to me in the movie theater. I don’t remember for sure, but I assume he knew nothing about this movie when my brothers and I begged him to take us to see it.
Mine must have been the 1966 Hawaii. The part that stuck in my mind was when one of the native girls–who had picked up on the missionary’s hell-and-damnation rhetoric–responded to his insistence that they stop swimming nude with the innocent question “Water too damn cold?”
For me, Mondo Cane, in a theater at the time of its release. It featured a sequence of naked Africans dancing around, probably male and female. I don’t remember the males, but I remember the naked boobies.
