The first thread I posted in appears to be lost in the mists of time. I believe it was one of Ed Zotti’s “Welcome” threads.

I was able to find the first thread I started however. It was “anti-cross-dressing laws” posted on 3-27-99 (under my original screen name).

I found my first thread, which was also my first post. I had been lurking for well over a month before I finally chimed in. Actually yesterday was my one-year anniversary on the board, yippeee!

Anyway, it was a question regarding toothpaste and orange juice, which I still consider an unanswered question, as Cecil has never addressed it.

As far as I can tell, the first thread I posted to was Age differences in MPSIMS. After I posted, the thread died–I didn’t realize at the time how common an occurance that would be.

My first post (that the search finds) was in a thread Bratman007 created to bitch about over-time and night-shift. I felt qualified to bitch along with him, since I was also working over-time and night-shift.

I think my first actual was in a thread about Wally. Wally’s passing was announced on another board I used to frequent (before SDMB took up all my time ) and I came here to see what it was all about. I had to join. Any group that was capable of such an outpouring of grief and love was a group I wanted to be part of.

Seriously, on the old AOL board after lurking for a few months I jumped in with both feet on a thread started by Opalcat that had something to do with poopie sheets in a hotel room. From there it turned into a cat fight.

On this board I think it was rollcall thread to see who all made it over to the new board.

                     Anyway, Dr. Laura, Phyllis Schlafly, and the rest are basically using the same justifications that Catharine Beecher did--and they are
                     equally hypocritical. They feel that their message is just too important to keep to themselves.

                     Well, maybe Catharine Beecher is less of a hypocrite--after all, I don't think that there are any naked pictures of HER plastered across
                     the internet.
