How can this thread be on page two without mention of Melrose Place?
The worse it got, the more I had to watch it.
Has anyone else ever heard of [sub]Queen of Swords[/sub].
I’m embarassed to admit it since, not unlike “The A Team”, it has only one plot.
My original response was going to be Dexter’s Lab, because I can still remember the look my wife gave me when she came in the room to find her nephew and I (who is 10) both laughing so hard at DL that we could barely breathe. (It was the episode where Dex goes to Japan as an exchange student and builds that Transformer/Power Ranger bot.) She gave me the “you’re such a geek” stare, but in retrospect it was more of “you’re such a geek but I love you because of it” stare, so I guess Dexter isn’t such a guilty pleasure after all. Besides, it is a damn good show, very well written.
If I’m embaraassed about any show that I watch with regularity, it has to be America’s Funniest Home Videos. I once saw this video where a woman was walkng in the woods and an owl flew down out of a tree, took her hat and then flew out over a lake and dropped it. That has to be one of the most absurd things that I’ve ever seen, and I laughed for hours. In fact, when I think about it, I still laugh out loud. (Of course seeing Uncle Joe take a baseball in the nuts is kind of funny too.)
Gotta say I’m a sucker for Real Life Law Enforcement:

I’m reassured to find most of my televisual vices already on the list…Cops, Judge Judy, Temptation Island, Jerry Springer, even QVC. (Btw, I don’t know whether UK QVC is different, but has anyone noticed that when dealing with cosmetics, there is only a “facial area”, “neck area”, “eye area”. Makes the gorge rise from the stomach area.)
But the lowest of the low has got to be “Reps in Ibiza”, Sky TV’s accolade to the underpaid, never-sleeping and nannying hosts of the over-sexed, inebriated and under-clothed. Did I ever have a holiday like that…or did I just kill enough braincells not to notice?
