A few months ago, our HR department asked for feedback on Oracle, our online time card system. I wrote a big long email detailing what I thought could have been improved to make for a better, more intuitive user experience. I put in my usual humorous slant, not wanting to be seen as entirely negative. They decided to publish my email in an Oracle forum, and since then I’ve been getting spam from vendors wanting to set up appointments with me to hawk their own time system. Obviously, I must be the head of the IT department if I’m going to complain publicly about Oracle, which isn’t true and was NOT my intention. No matter how much I unsubscribe and add to spam filters, the spam just keeps spamming.
