Smithsonian was very disappointing. I spent about ten minutes in there, and it was so crowded and chaotic, I didn’t see any point in trying to find anything interesting.

Whoever broke a priceless Devonian fossil clean off its outcrop in Creature from the Black Lagoon. I think his name was Carl Maia. I saw that movie in an auditorium full of Geologists. The collective shudder could be felt down the hall.

LF chair?
The wobbly one I don’t trust. I have taken it apart and reglued it with gorilla glue, in case the fittings were too loose. Still wobbles. DH won’t throw it out because it’s part of a set of four. But we don’t dare let a guest sit in it. He weighs 70lbs more than I do, so guess who gets it when we have people over?
None of the others in the set is wobbly.

Corn on the cob especially, but corn in any form, basically. Popcorn is fine though.
Least favorite movie snack?
Gummy Bears, with caramels a close second. I don’t like to clog up my teeth.
LF movie you saw in 2017?
Up until yesterday, I would have said Trolls, but now my answer is Greatest Showman, the PT Barnum biopic. Terrible.

LF actor who everyone else seems to love?
The star of each and every CGI-fueled recent superhero blockbuster. If you need that much CGI, then you’re in a movie without much of a story, and your lack of acting skills is covered up by the excess of CGI.
Least favorite “no special effects” movie?
Hurricane Bianca. My daughter has become a fan of drag queens, and when she saw this one on Netflix, she just had to screen it. We finished it out of sheer stubbornness, but halfway through, even she agreed that it was horrible.
