LF Asimov book?
Gold, published posthumously, and billed as his last sci-fi collection with stories previously unpublished in book form. Yeah, there are a few of those, but more than half the book is Asimov writing about his own methods of writing and his views on sci-fi technique in general. A BIG let-down for anyone looking for some good bedtime reading. His estate must have needed money.
Least favorite John Grisham novel?
The Brethren. Kind of creepy, and its subject matter might not go over well today.

1983" lots of big decisions and big changes. I don’t think got even half of the decisions right, so my life sort of went in a difficult direction.
LF Sports figure all-time?
Ty Cobb. Sports should be played between gentlemen, and Cobb was no gentleman on the field. Whether that was good or bad, I don’t know. All I know is that Cobb played a particularly nasty style of baseball.

Nurse Chapel. Totally unneccesary character. Just a way for Roddenbury to get his gf a job.
Least favorite TV show ever?
Kojak. All the other 1970s drama TV detectives had some kind of hook–Harry O had no car and had to take the bus, Cannon had a huge car (and a huge appetite), Mannix was ultra violent, Charlie’s Angels were expertly-trained young women–but all Kojak was, was a lollipop-eating bald guy.
Least favorite TV sitcom that lasted at least one season?
“Married … With Children”.
Blech. As H L Mencken said, “No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American people.” Not to mention their poor taste!
Least favorite song to get stuck in your head as an earworm?
1-877-kars -4-kids…and thank YOU for making it stuck in my head now. The only way to get rid of it is to sing The Final Countdown until it replaces it.
