Your least favourite....

YLF ‘classic’ board game

Chinese Checkers, no contest.
Your least favorite schoolyard/neighborhood kids’ game (eg, tag, kick the can, ghosts in the graveyard, wax museum, hide and seek, etc.)

Dodge ball.

Your least favorite candy/cookie/sweet, etc.

Peanut butter cookies. I like peanut butter and I like cookies. But I find that the two shouldn’t be combined.

Least favorite kind of soup?

There are several soups I could name that have meat in them, which I don’t like because I’m a vegetarian-- can’t stand chicken noodle, for example, and never could, even before I was officially a vegetarian, but I think not liking meat played into not liking those soups, so I’m going to pick a soup I have an irrational dislike of, even though it can be made without meat. And frequently is, by hosts who present it to me as something especially made for me, so I feel obligated to choke it down: minestrone.

YLF charity that most people think is great.

United Way. Every fall, somebody at the office is the United Way collector, and they nag and nag and nag everybody to contribute, nonstop. Guilt trips abound (“Did you have a nice meal last night? Do you know who didn’t?”) Did I mention that they nag, and send you on guilt trips? I have my own charities that I support, but that’s not good enough for United Way–apparently, if I don’t support United Way, I’m the scum of the earth. Oh, and did I mention that they nag, and send you on guilt trips?

Least favorite vacation destination that you have been to?

Least favorite vacation destination? Hands down, Niagara Falls

YLF song that prominently features a synthesizer?

It’s The Final countdooooooown! Dodidoo doo, dodidoo doo doo doo! Doodidoo doo, doodidoo doo doo! Doodidoo, doodidoo, doodidoo, doodidoo di doo di doooooooooooooo!

Thanks. Now that song will be eating my brain all day.
Least favorite song with a cowbell.

“We Didn’t Start the Fire”
Least Favorite song by your favorite band or singer.

Xanadu by Rush

Least favorite meat substitute brand

Quorn. Tastes like ass, and doesn’t have a lot of protein.
LF TV show that you actually watch regularly for some reason.

The local news. Any channel. The insipid chatter varies only slightly.

Least favorite genre of fiction.

Romance novels. Although in fairness I’m basing that on reading a grand total of one.

LF song that made it to #1 on the charts?

“Stars on 45 Medley,” from 1981. Cute gimmick, fun at first, then they played the hell out of it, and it kicked off a whole bunch of imitators, all of which did the same thing: snippets of pop songs set to a disco beat. Argh!

Least favorite extracurricular you ever participated in at high school?

Cross country. I was only in it to stay in shape for track season. A long distance runner I was not. I was a jumper/sprinter. Thankfully the cross country couch was also the high jump coach so he took it easy on me.

Least Favorite club you ever attended (high school or otherwise)

SADD (Students Against Drunk Driving). I went once. Turned out they might as well have been the school’s Women’s Temperance Union. I was interested in things like promoting the idea of designated drivers, and contacting cab companies to give discounted rides to high underaged kids who overindulged (it was the 80s, and they could probably do it without being accused of contributing to the delinquency of minors), while everyone else wanted to preach Jesus and abstinence only.
Least favorite time a person ever tried to convert you to their religion.

That would have been at an evangelical house-church where the “preacher” talked in tongues and attempted to heal afflictions. He didn’t like it when I pointed out his “tongues” was bad fake Latin, and nobody was healed. I wasn’t asked back.
Your Least Favorite type of pie.

Oatmeal. It’s supposed to be a substitute for pecan pie(THE food of the Gods), but fails miserably.

Your least favorite shellfish.

Oysters. No way, never again, in any form, by any means. (If this seems to be a “gut” reaction, that was definitely involved.)

YLF type of pencil-and-paper puzzle.

The Jumble.
YLF old school video game.
