Otherwise. The bird feeder that hangs from the tree in my back yard. The birds it attracts are colorful in a bleak winter, and their song is cheerful.
Most favorite gift you’ve ever received?
When I graduated from high school, my drama teacher gave me the bracelet that her drama teacher had given her when she graduated from high school.
MF year of your life.
Maybe 2013. I hadn’t traveled in a couple of decades, due to vision issues. In 2013, at age 75, I started using a white cane, and found it so liberating, I went online and bought a ticket to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, and loved it. Since then I’ve been around the world twice, visited every continent, traveling all by myself. That was a rebirth for me.
MF footwear in your house.
My bedroom slippers. I have no problem with my guests or me wearing shoes in my house if they’re not wet or slushy (take that, “Canadians don’t wear shoes in the house” supporters), but if I have no reason to keep my shoes on, I’ll commonly take my shoes off in the living room, and put on my slippers.
Most favorite pet you’ve ever owned?
“Girl” A Tabby Cat that for a week would sleep on a rocking chair on my patio, I have my morning tea there. I would have to clean star thistle off it each morning wondering where the heck it was coming from. One morning after what must have been a rough night for Girl, she was still asleep when I ventured out to my rocker. I brought some left over chicken out for her, she gobbled it up. She was very tiny so I thought she was just a kitten. Well we adopted each other, and soon I was receiving moles, birds, rats on my doorstep! This little kitten was a killing machine. She was gonna clear my 6 acres of any form of rodent in no time. As I got to know Girl, I brought her in the house. We were buds. One morning she was fussing to get outside, I opened the door, Girl ran out, making a beeline across the patio across the front yard up a tree out a limb and caught a bird in flight all in one mind blowing move. We enjoyed each other for 8 months, then Girl was taken in 4 days when a tiny red bump on her belly was Breast Cancer. The Vet informed me she was about 8 years old & so tiny from malnutrition. And she probably left her last home. she was pregnant and past owners had aborted the babies. I miss her & cherish the 8 months we shared.
Most favorite get away spot?
Raven Cliff - Every Black Friday, my friends and I hike there and drink mead. We have to go really early because it’s gotten too popular. It’s still a nice getaway spot to pretend is separate from the rest of the world for a while.

Jackie Chan…loved his stuff from the 80’s and 90’s.

My Uncle Jonas. He’s been bald my entire life, which mean since he was 30. And I mean completely, except for a tiny Socratic fringe. He must have started balding in his early 20s. Running a close second would be my FIL, but he is of blessed memory, so I didn’t pick him. He also had a little wispy hair on top, as opposed to my completely chrome-domed uncle.
