Star Bird, a cool electronic spaceship that lit up and made noises. It could also split in two, and had little shuttlecraft you could detach from it.
YMF stuffed animal, now or when you were a kid.

Fleegle, a stuffed dog which I slept with as a little boy. He’s exceptionally tattered now, but I still have him. (And, yes, he was named after the dog in The Banana Splits.)

It Happened One Night, with honorable mention to Bringing Up Baby.
YMF movie starring Joan Crawford?
I actually have never seen a movie of hers, but I hear Mildred Pierce is among her best.

The view of the Atlantic Ocean from the upstairs windows at the ramshackle beach house in Nags Head, N.C. that we used to go to.

The Southern Ocean. I’d love to visit Antarctica.

Mount Rundle, which overlooks Banff, Alberta.

The only one I know well, Michigan.
YMF thing you didn’t actually enjoy, but are really glad you did for someone else’s sake.
My wife loved tha Gold Museum in Bogota. I got kicked out for a) sitting on a settee, which is not allowed, and b) sitting on the stairs, which is worse, and c) sitting anywhere, strictly prohibited.

Fav Christmas tree ornament
My friend Tom’s collection of ornaments that includes a starship Enterprise, some German WWI medals (earned by his grandfather), and a “tribute to Andy Warhol” Campbell’s Tomato soup can.
YMF tchotchke.
A Boy Scout thank-you paperweight that was my dad’s.
YMF memory of Scouting or another youth organization?
The 20-mile hike that my Boy Scout troop went on, in order to earn the Hiking merit badge. It was an all-day excursion into the hills outside of Green Bay, and while I came home dog-tired, the group had fun all along the way, and it’s still the furthest I’ve gone on foot in a single day.
