Honestly, Ellen Raskin, but illness cut what could have been a prolific career short. Among the more prolific, I used to love Patricia Cornwell, before she went all wacko with the Jack the Ripper stuff. And really, Agatha Christie deserves being practically a synonym for “mystery writer.” Take your pick.
