Your most worthless Christmas gift (this year.)

So your Christmas gift was a reminder that your parents had sex? Had it not been for Scougs’s sister, I think you might have won this thread.

Now all I can think of is that Shake ‘n’ Bake commercial…

I won a Snuggie as a door prize at our Christmas party. I was thrilled to death; it was cold in that room and I hadn’t brought a jacket. The following Monday there was a picture of me on the Christmas tree at work, wearing the Snuggie, grinning and waving at the camera as I ate my dinner.

I’m wearing it right now, too!

Got a Snuggie, too. Not a bad gift, seeing as I freeze a lot. The problem is the effin static. I could have sworn I saw sparks when I took it off!

A dozen bottles of hot sauce would be one of the better gifts anyone could send me. Particularly if they were local ones that weren’t everywhere.

The SDMB Portrait Gallery would be a good place for that…

My sister the lesbian, who is the worst gift giver in the history of gift giving, gave me a framed print of the George Washington Bridge.

If I want to see the GWB, I’ll spend $1.35 on a bus ride and go see the real thing.

For some reason my step-son is completely obsessed with Snuggies. He’s four. My sister-in-law got a matching Snuggies for her husband’s sister and her dog as a joke. I do not understand this obsession.

Thanks! I’ll look into that!

Wow! I remember that game. I remember thinking “this sucks” back when I got it for free with a Mac … in the early 90s.

Believe me, you’re not missing much.

When I opened the intriguingly shaped wrapping paper, number 1 thing I didn’t want to say was “It’s for a Mac”.

Number 2 was “I bought it full price for the SNES and was laughed at in school” :o

You’re not the only one. Well, I don’t live in an old house but my place certainly does get cold.

Personally, the first time I saw an ad for a Snuggie I thought, “God damn, that’s genius.”

Pity they market them as cheap and low-class. I’m very tempted to buy one, regardless. I spent today a bit hungover on the couch - the bathrobe was warm and wonderful but from the knees down I was freezing. Sure, I had a couple of throws to cover my feet but I would love a long robe-type garment that could cover me to my feet on the couch. I’m a decent height (6’) so most robes don’t cut it when I’m not standing upright.
