Your Scars

Please, no emotional ones.

-Two little ones on my foot where I was stabbed with scissors.

-A mess on my left wrist from a spider bite gone bad.

-One above my eyelashes where a doctor poked a hole right through my eyelid.

-A semi-big one between my left eye and nose from my frontal labotomy. (Well, no. It’s from the removal of a big cyst that was pushing my eyeball out of it’s socket. Fun.)

Anyone here more scar tissue than human?

One on my left thumb knuckle and the outside of my left pinky I got because a glass broke while I was washing it. I got 4 stiches in my thumb knuckle and 2 in my pinky.

Three spider bite scars on my right shoulder. They don’t tan either so they’re really visible in the summertime.

I also have two chicken pox scars. One above my left eyebrow and one on my left boob!

Not too exciting, but the first two were plenty painful!

That John Denver’s full of shit man!

A 3 cm. scar across my chin, from falling onto a coffee table when I was two years old. I split open my chin to the bone, and had about 17 stitches. I still somtimes cut the scar slightly whilst shaving…

Scars are a good thing. They show that a man can survive his own stupidity.
As I shall now list

  1. 3 inch across left arm. Showing someone how sharp the knife was. Age 15.
  2. 1/2 scar next to left ear, 1/8 inch scar next to left eye. Recieved trying to squeeze a dogs none when I was five. (he was not amused)
3)1/4 scar left first knuckle. in a fit of anger punching an inanimate object with no give. (pillows are better than brick walls.)age 17
4)1 inch scar inner left wrist. Removed Ganglian cyst aquired when drilling a safe open. The drill snagged on the hardplate spinning high speed drill twisting my wrist MUCH further than it was designed to go.Happened directly after the words"Is only a fire safe don’t worry about breaking out the (drill) rig."
5)1/2 scar on web of skin between thumb and first finger on left hand. Playing Bayonet the bad guy at age 12. Fixed sights on gun stayed put when hand slid down barrel.
6)5 inch friction burn under right armpit.
obtained when I grabed bullwhip tip from friend and pulled it across my back and under arm to pull it away from him.
  3. 5 inch Oblong scar lower right back at beltline. Recieved from motorcycle accident.
Never panic and use the front brake at 60mph.
8)3 1/4 on right knee. Recived when I walked in front of a car at age 10.
Is amazing I survived my early year.

Oh boy, this may take a while.

  • One on my right thigh from a sharp somethingorother on the bottom of a table.
  • Six little ones on the back of my right ankle from getting my leg stuck in my bike chain.
  • Two on my left shin and one on my right from falling off my bike.
  • Two on my left hand from getting my foot stuck in the pant-leg of my colourguard costume, and sliding across the cement.
  • One on my left shoulder from the same as above.
  • One on my left forearm from a burn.
  • One mystery scar on my left upper-arm.
  • Two on my right hand from my dad’s fingernail.
  • One on my right hand from some guy’s braces.
  • Seven mystery ones on my right hand.
  • One in my right I.O.E.
  • One mystery one on my right elbow.
  • One mysery one on my left elbow.
  • One mysery one on my chest.
  • One on my right hip from a heating-pad burn.
  • At least twelve mystery ones on my left knee.
  • At least nine mystery ones on my right knee.
  • One on either of my knees from body-surfing.
  • Three mystery ones on my left shin.
  • Four mystery ones on my right shin.
  • One on my left ankle from shaving.
  • One on my right ankle from same as above.
  • Four mystery ones on my right ankle.
  • One fairly big scar from my skiing accident which begins about an inch above my right eyebrow, goes through the eyebrow leaving a bald spot, down on my eyelid (there was a hole through it), out from the corner of my eye, just about to my ear. It used to be bigger, but I had a plastic surgeon work his magic last June.

That’s all I can see in this light.

  • a thin pink one under my right breast from having gall bladder surgery
  • a lovely line through my left eyebrow from bamming into the wall
  • two matching ones on my chin, jumping up and down and crashed down on the counter
  • a two inch one on the inside of my right arm where i was poked with a compass in school
  • 1/2 incher on the base of my right index finger from a glass breaking when I was drying it.

Thats about all I can think of right now, but Im sure there are more. Sue = klutz girl

Ohh, I’ve got lots of these. Some are kinda interesting too.

About four scars on the top of my head:

  • One was from jumping off a planter box and not noticing the concrete beam overhead (got an ambulance ride out of that one  ).
  • Another from swinging on a tree branch, letting go, and falling face first into a brick planter box.
  • Yet another from slamming my head into the corner of a table when I was about 4.
  • And the fourth is a mystery???
Now the rest of my body:
  • Small groove on my upper right cheek from sliding on my face for about 10 feet when I fell off my bike. A huge scab was over the whole right side of my face, but this groove is the only evidence.
  • About six scars on my knees from rollerblading and hiking in shorts.
  • Actual chunk of lead from a pencil implanted in my palm about seven years ago.
  • Small three cm. scar on my right arm. From my great-grandmother’s little-bastard-spawn-of-hell-thank-god-it’s-dead cat.
  • And finally numerous little discolorations and small scars on my hands and arms from opening stores and designing/filling stock rooms for a company called Z-Gallerie.

Probably more, but this is too long already.

Oh no! I forgot about the mini Goddess of Victory scar on my left palm, and that one’s my favourite!!

Lets see:

One on a left knuckle from a parrot bite
A thin pale line on my palm from who knows what
One on my throat about the middle from my cat
One just above my right knee a cigarette burn
two little spots above my elbow that I have no clue about
Another mid right arm (between the elbow and wrist) which I also don’t know what from
One on my left pinky from scraping it on a sharp plastic edge of a recycling box

Um probably others as well that I can’t think of right now.

Small scar on my right pointer finger. I cut myself with a bloody scalpel blade. (Thank the gods I don’t work in human medicine). 4 stitches.

Scar on forehead above left eye, from when I was 5 or 6. I fell and sliced my head open on the corner of a piece of furniture.

Large scar on my right quad, from when I was in my early 20’s, and cut myself on broken glass.

Small, faint scars around both nipples from my augmentation.

Small scar on my groin area from endometriosis surgery.

Many, many tiny scars all over both arms and hands from being bitten and scratched by animals. (Again, thank the gods I don’t work with people).

You know you are a vet nurse when: it’s 4 AM and you are out of creamer for your coffee, so you use kitten milk replacer instead.

[ul][li]Scar running from the middle of my right thigh to the top of my butt. I broke my femur when I was 18 and it healed 1 1/2 inches short. Let’s See What’s Out There … Engage

Lessee, here. I have a bunch of scars on my hands, mostly my left, from playing with rambunctious kitty cats. I have a strange thin scar running up my upper right arm. I have no idea how I got it. I have a faded scar on my left shin from an unforseen encounter with a low brick wall. I have a couple of other scars on my legs from shaving accidents. And I have a big one on top of my left foot from tripping over something. I have lots of other scars, but they have emotional scars associated with them, and I don’t think I’ll go into them right now.

Here lies Pierre de Fermat. Unfortunately, there is not enough room on this tombstone for a proper epitaph.

I have two on my left index finger by slicing it with a razor while trying to open a box at work.

The big ones though are the scars on my legs. I had orthopedic surgery when I was in third grade because I was pigeon-toed and knock-kneed. Each leg has six circular scars and one long straight one in the middle of the “pattern”. I’ve told the story hundreds of times and 11 years later, I don’t get tired of telling it. I do get strange looks and people staring sometimes because I usually wear shorts and they are definitely visible.

This is the most exciting thing I’ve seen since Halley’s Comet collided with the moon.

My list would probably take longer than mega the roos. I think I’ll just skip it.

I’m not sure if the burn scar on my right hand is actually visible, or if I just see it because I know the burn was there.

Other than that, I just have the scar on my left cheek (starts a little below and to the left of the left eye and goes to a little above above and to the right of the left ear) that I got when I was 18 months old (dragged by a car).

I’ll only list the best one, but rest assured there are plenty more.

I’ve got a oval scar on my right upper arm, just above the elbow. Major axis about the diameter of a quarter, minor about the diameter of a nickel. It’s mostly pale, but has three darker stripes parallel to the minor axis. It changes color in various temperatures. When I’m cold, it turns dark purple, when I’m warm, it’s pink.

The story behind it isn’t all that interesting, just an inline skating scrape that didn’t heal quite right.

(making a small sacrifice to the UBB code deities in hopes that this works)
[ul][li]1/4 inch gap in my right eyebrow, from fighting with my bestest friend over a crayon when I was 5 (she tackled me, my glasses broke, and the lens cut my eyelid)[/li][li]Multiple small scars on both upper arms, from being hit by a car, and thrown into some gravel and broken glass[/li][li]3-inch scar on my right shoulder blade, from the same accident, that looks like a stab wound, and leads to some interesting looks when I wear a sleeveless top in public[/li][li]Round chicken-pox scar right on one of the “points” of my upper lip (that would be the only one that didn’t fade away…)[/li][li]1/2 scar next to the knuckle on my right middle finger from learning to play pool (gotta watch those evil finger-grabbing screws)[/li][li]Small, round, raised scar on right wrist - dog bite[/li][li]3/4 inch scar just below the knuckle on my right index finger from an x-acto knife accident (this one cut right down to the bone, severed the nerve, and led to the end of my musical career)[/li][li]7 inch crescent-shaped scar along my right shin from falling plate glass[/li][li]Multiple puncture wound scars across left inside wrist, from when I was 4 years old (never, EVER stick your arm in a sewing machine)[/li][li]Small burn scar, middle of chest (it really, really hurts when the burning end off a cigarette gets caught under your bra strap[/li][li]Larger burn scar across top of right foot (it hurts even worse when you drop a cigarette into your boot, and it catches your nylons on fire)[/li][li]Surgical scars on abdomen and inside navel (gallbladder surgery)[/ul][/li]
Those are the notable ones, at least…

BTW, anybody else getting Lethal Weapon flashbacks from this thread?
