One on my right elbow from a surgery.
I’ve lived a sheltered life.
Ahh scars, I got some 'o dem.
8 or so semicircular 1-2" ones on my scalp from being hacked at with a beer bottle
a 3" one on my forehead from getting of the scoot at 40mph and kissing pavement
one 18" surgical incision on my abdomen and a couple others about 2" across from a “sporting” accident
quite a few various lengh scars on my arms and legs from the occasional blunt trauma
and my latest a nifty one where I accindentally tried to saw my left pinkie off a few month back
Ooh, a topic I’m qualified for!
2 inch scar on side of heel and bottom of foot-playing in the ditch with no shoes on, age 9
1 inch scar top of foot near arch-using ancient, dull, rusty axe in an attempt to help a friend clean up trees blown down in a hurricane, it ricocheted - I was barefoot, age 10 or 11
1/2 inch scar in the meaty part of hand below thumb-peeling peaches with a pearing knife, age 13
3 to 4 inch scar down front of shin-nobody told me when you shave your legs that you don’t need to press down on the razor and should go slowly, age 13
6 to 7 inch scar across lower abdomen-two c-sections(its a beauty)ages 17 and 22
1 inch scar in bellybutton-tubal ligation,age 23
3 inch scar lower left abdomen- same tubal
3 inch scar lower right abdomen-same tubal
1 to 2 inch oval scar between breasts- third degree sunburn(redheads should never use vegetable oil for tanning purposes when they are stoned)age 16
Don’t know if this counts but I also have 1 really large, really crappy tattoo,in a really dumb place.
Sixteen year olds should not hang out with tattoo artists.
Hmm…Let’s see…I’ve quite a few of these.
1 incher on top of left big toe. Dropped full glass of orange juice on it barefoot.
3 incher on right knee from chasing a friend with a doezen donuts. Fell in VERY rocky pavement.
3 puncture wounds on left arm. Learned not to break up a dog fight.
several small lingering scars on left hand. Carved my name into it. Also several unknown scars on same hand.
1/4 incher on bottom of wrist on the same hand. Decided it would be smart to break a TV tube…found out it wasn’t so smart.
3 incher running lengthwise on right thumb-3 stitches. Found out why you shouldn’t argue about who’s going to unload the dishwasher when your sibling has a steak knife.
2 small scars under right pinky. 1 definitely from Scalpel(boy was I cool), other unknown.
Large Scar on right shoulder. Caught it on the edge of a furniture blanket basket in a U-haul truck(wire basket with WAY sharp edges). Exacerbated it and got a 4 inch scratch douwn my arm several months later by running it directly into an 8" spike sticking out of the side of a neigbor’s house.
That’s about it…
Oh, one more–Scar on the tragus of my left ear. The results of a bad peircing…eww, what a mess!
And remember kids, crack doesn’t smoke itself!
Hmm . . . let’s see:
– Outside right ankle, 6-inch surgical scar from last summer’s Adventures in Orthopedics
– Right index finger, just below the nail, a smallish scar (about 1/4") from breaking a glass
– High on the forehead, between the eyes, a small round scar from being accidentally caught on the pointy end of an umbrella in the 4th grade
–Left knee, just below kneecap, a 1/2" scar from a nasty skateboard accident at age 12.
Those are the only ones I can think of at the moment.
wow, you guys are beat all to hell.
I have one on the underside of my right arm where I had to have 75 stitches when I was 7, I fell out of a Crepe Myrtle tree trying to pick flowers. I have one on my forehead where I hit my head on a boat that was stored in a shed. One on my foot where I stepped on a broken jar.
The rest are just internal emotional battle scars

A 2 inch scar on my leg from a metal bicycle pedal (when I was 6).
A scar in my groin area. Let me explain. 6th grade, walking on a split rail fence. I lose me balance and somehow fall taking the split rail in a sensitive area. Strangely enough, the testicular crushing didn’t hurt. The big gash a couple of inches over did get my attention.
2 tooth shaped scars under my lower lip. Fell down while running as a little kid and managed to bite through the old lip. Didn’t hurt at all, but my parents were a little taken aback.
Well, honey just tastes better when it comes from a bear’s head.
Small straight scar on right thumb- slammed my thumb into the handle of a folding mirror while trying to clean it.
Small oval discolored area on my left wrist- scrape mark from falling onto the concrete while running. The scrape didn’t bother me at all. The fact that I had broken my arm, well, that was a bit of a worry.
1" long scar on the instep of my right foot. Rule #1: No matter how well in works in the beer commercials, do not attempt to grab a glass bottle by the neck when you’ve just gotten out of the swimming pool. Rule #2: No matter what your father says, when standing in the middle of the remnants of a shattered Diet Pepsi bottle, do not try to jump away.
Large, ugly 3" scar on the inside of my right arm. Fell off a trailer while trying to clean it; the wound was mostly superficial, so it was decided I didn’t need to go to the hospital and get stitches. Therefore, it healed real ugly, which isn’t that bad- it’s a nice, horrible-looking scar I can easily show off.

From oldest to newest:
-
1/8 scar on the inside knuckle of my right middle finger. Mystery scar, possibly from a burn.
-
1 inch faded scar on the topside of my left thigh. Mystery scar, probably a cut.
-
several small puncture scars around my left knee. Very faded. From being bitten by a blind poodle when I was about five.
-
1/4 inch scar just below my elbow on my left arm. 4th grade, got caught on another girl’s notebook on the way to class.
-
various small scars on my hand from handling an X-Acto knife all through college and owning a cat.
-
1 inch vertical scar starting at my navel and going down, as well as three small incision scars along the right side of my ribcage. Laproscoptic cholisistectomy (gallbladder removal). I was 22.
-
same 1 inch vertical scar and two smaller scars below it from emergency appendectomy. I was 24.
-
A few scattered acne and bug bite scars on my arms and back.
Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good dipped in chocolate.
Two chickenpox scars on forehead. One a little off-center from third-eye location.
One inch (barely noticable) above my right eyebrow. My cousin stole my sister’s teddy bear. I chased after cousin. Cousin went out patio door, Riddles went THROUGH patio door, and landed face-first on the concrete platform below. (teddy bear was returned)
Numbers of scars on legs from various falls. I have little pieces of gravel imbedded in my knee from when I fell off my bike. I refused to let my father “dig” for them.
No operational scars, no major traumas (except for the door thing, and THAT only warranted the nurse who lived across the street from my grandmother coming over with a butterfly bandaid.)

Hmm, lessee, so if one of us gets accused of some terrible horrendous crime, will this information be used for identification. EEK!
Seriously:
-
Many different marks all over the knees, wrists, and shins fron bicycle accidents, rollerblading, and playing softball in short pants.
-
three little ones on the right knee from the first knee surgery, in which the knee was simply scoped;
-
one big 4 inch number on the same knee from the second knee surgery, four years later, when they decided it never got fixed right in the first place. I have the ACL of a dead guy in my right knee at this very moment.
-
a nice monstrous eight inch job on my left shoulder that starts on the top and arcs back under my armpit. This, boys and girls, is called rotator cuff surgery with a side of reattaching the biceps tendon. (I quit playing football after that particular visit to the hospital)
-
A nice little bitty 1 inch scar at the base my right pinky from slicing it open with a utility knife. Advice - never try and slice something open when you can’t actually see what your cutting. I was 16 and stupid - it looked like raw hamburger and I almost lost the use of my finger.
-
And finally, my mom’s favorite, a very subtle fold in my left eyelid stemming from an incident when I was 4 years old. Seems I fell out of bed one night and banged my face on the bedside table. I never woke up until I was in the emergency room - my mom says the fall sounded like a truck had smashed into the back of the house.
I have:
a blackish-brownish “railroad tracks” scar up the back of my left leg from when I wrecked my bike in 6th grade and the chain got caught in my leg. I remember having my father scrub it out as hard as he could with a washcloth and hydrogen peroxide in order to get the grease out. As I was screaming in agony, he told me that the alternative was to have it lanced, and proceeded to describe in detail what that meant.
a small black scar on my butt from when my babysitter’s kid pushed me into the fireplace tools when I was about 3. I landed on the poker.
a bunch of little burn scars on my right wrist and arm from the time I made fried catfish and heated the oil up too much.
a scar on the back of my scalp that I can feel, but not see. I was jumping on the bed with my friend Meredith when I was about 8. I bounced off, landed on my head, and gashed my scalp open with one of those octagonal (except with more sides ) ponytail holders. With blood gushing out of head, I ran downstairs to my dad. He was, unfortunately, eating crabs (like most Marylanders on a Saturday afternoon) and made me wait until he was finished before we went to the hospital to get stitches. Ah, the abuse!
A slew of unidentified ones and that’s about it!
Mega, that’s some array of scars. Were you born or did your folks just stitch you together and animate you with a bolt of lightning?
I have a scar on my forehead from when I fell off a wagon. It doesn’t bother me and I hardly ever remember it’s there, until a really polite, concerned, and sensitive person says, “Hey, what’s that scar in the middle of your forehead? Did you know it’s there???”
[ul][li]One on my stomach from nearly impaling myself on a tree branch.[/li][li]One on my right thumb from when I sliced it open with a x-acto knife.[/li][li]Numerous small scars on hands from living with an irritable cat for six years.[/li][li]One on the top of my head from being hit with a thrown piece of 2x4.[/li][li]A couple of acne pits on my forehead.[/ul][/li]

Head to toe:
One in my right smile line from minor surgery.
Two small ones on my right forearm (2 stiches each) from falling down the stairs with a tray of food at a restaurant I worked in. FTR, refried beans hurt!
Two that run almost hip to hip across the top of my pubic hair from hernia surgeries at 2 and 3 years of age.
I suppose I have one from my episiotomy, but you’d have to ask the Mr.
Circular one on my right knee from falling on a nail.
Small one (3 stiches) on the bottom of left foot from the removal of a freckle.
A myriad of teeny ones on my fingers from cooking mishaps.
My kids brighten up our home. They never turn the lights off. -A Wallyism
Scaramouch fandango.
A long (sternum to pubis - skirts the belly button) reminder of rupturing my liver on a bike handlebar. As a compliment to that there’s a 1" blob about 1" above the first rivet to the right on a pair of Wrangler jeans that was the liver drainage tube. A tiny spot of scar from a 3rd degree burn in the small of my back. Right bicep and right elbow have small (3/4") scars (coarse stitching) from some quick and dirty transfusions. Appendix scar runs from above the belt line at about the first belt loop on the same jeans referenced above down to the fold between leg and groin. Hands and knees sport a variety of small mementos of childhood confrontations with cold, hard physical reality. Pockmark on my right cheek from a cyst burn-off. Left ankle bears a small scar similar to the transfusion scars that was the result of a heart catheter. The scars you get from double hernia and hydrocele operations about where you’d expect those scars to be. Eyebrow scar from a bad night in the bars. And a small spot on my back that was a souvenier of a pleurisy driven lung drainage.
Did you really want to know all that?
