your shoes!

tell me this:

right now, what kind of shoes are you wearing?

please go into mind-numbing detail.

I am not wearing shoes at the moment.
I am wearing socks, but for the sake of this thread, they will work just as well as if I were wearing shoes.

They are lilac in shade and have little white kitty cats all over them.
The little grippy things on the bottom are shaped like paws.
If I were to walk over sand, one might think that a hundred mice had run across, instead of me.

If I were to run upstairs to the candy machine, I would have to slip on my black clogs: They used to have a lime green trim on them but my dog munched on them when he was a puppy (bad dog!) and the cobbler did not have lime green trim, he only had black.

So now I have black clogs with black trim.

They also have hand painted flowers on the top.

The right foot pad on the inside says “Gretel’s clogs” and has a girl that looks like swiss miss picking flowers.
The left foot pad says “retel’s logs” (as this was the shoe the bad dog chewed).

They are wood and are very cloggy in sound.

I have to kick them off when I drive. Mr Baboon says I look like a monkey grasping the clutch with my toes, kinda like the monkeys at the zoo that stick a stick in a hole and pull out ants for a treat.

the end.

I’m wearing Size 8M black pleather boots.

They have a thick, 4 inch heel and a very square toe. The boots come up to mid-calf. They make me feel skinny when I wear them, because they add so much height. haha They are my favorite black boots, although the heel is so high, and the toe so square that they make my little pinky toes numb.

Under the boots are plain white socks I got for Christmas.

Well, not really, but they’ve got a flame job on 'em.

They’re black, with oxblood flames that wrap around the laces and extend to the heel. The soles are made of natural rubber, which is far too wobbly, but they’re almost worn out to the level where I will feel comfortable getting them replaced. Although it will be sad to say goodbye to the angel treads (and the inscription assuring me my soles are now safe from alkali, water, acid, fatigue, and Satan) I’m sure I will be all right.

My shoes

Size 11, brown leather Skecher low-top boots.

Covered in dirt, even though I polished 'em last night, the shoelace on the left side has the cover coming off the lace on one side, I’ll get that fixed sooner or later. The soles are pretty well worn, theres a small screw stuck in the front part of the left shoe, both the ‘Skecher’ labels are almost completely worn off underneath my heal, inside the shoe.

They’ve got little tabs on the back to hang them by and they have an outside tread pattern of rounded rectangles with breaks in the middle and the center pattern is like a four sided fleur de lis.

The sole has a bit of a rise, I’m about 3/4" when wearing them and there is mud caked along the line between the leather and the plastic sole.

3/4 of an inch taller when wearing them, that is. :smack:

I’m wearing wool slipper-socks that my sister brought me from Turkmenistan. They’re very low – they don’t cover my ankles, and they’ve got a red, orange, white and black pattern on them.

Size 11½ New Balnce 609’s. Brown and blue. My last 3 pairs of sneakers have all been the 609’s, first white, then black and now brown.

I am currently not wearing any foot coverings. MY feet are cold.

Standard dress black leather shoes with rubber soles, size 16, unsure of make or model due to age.

No foot covering of any kind at this time. When I get the urge to move I’ll go to pull on my very worn black moccasins with ragged fur trim and beads on the top that are amazingly intact compared to the rest of them.

In fact my moccasins look like they were chewed upon but I don’t have any pets at all that could have done so!

What was your sis doing over there? Excavating at Mary? Doin’ the beach in Turkmenbashi? Renaming months of the year? I was there in 99 and, boyhowdy, was that one weird place.

Black low heel pumps by Easy Spirit. Old and very badly scuffed. The soles are thick hard rubber which have been very badly worn on the outside corner. In fact, they are so badly worn that a cavity within the shoe has been exposed, and a piece of gravel has worked it’s way into the cavity on both shoes.

So my shoes ever so faintly rattle wherever I walk.

I guess it’s time for a new pair of shoes!

'Nother barefoot (well, two) here.

Hiking boots circa 1980. They have a small busted seam but they’re still good. I could wear new sneakers or new boots, but damn… These are comfortable.

Doc Marten shoes my mom bought for me in England. Plain. Black. “Regular” sole. kinda shiny. I’m also wearing some grey socks that I think my ex-boyfriends extremely nice mom gave me.

My Die Hard work boots, steel toed, black, and properly scuffed, and stinky.

I’ve been working on my truck.

Birkenstock sport clogs, purple, size 42, fairly scuffed, with insoles worn through to the cork in places as I wear them everyday at work.
