I checked - I saw a few threads on the big game, but didn’t find one asking for picks.
I don’t guess I really care, but I’m kinda rooting for the Colts. Or maybe against the Bears.
The Bears kicker is from the town where I went to college. But that is not a strong enough tie to bind me to rooting for them.
I’m gonna say: Colts 28, Bears 9.
(I’m still kinda hoping for a miracle win by the Steelers.)
Keep in my that I had the Detroit Tigers beating the St. Louis Cardinals in 5, and Ohio State beating the Florida Gators, I boldly pick the Colts to win but the Bears to cover the spread, which last I checked had Indy by 7.
I’m not a football person, but I have an inexplicable fondness for the Colts, and have had it since roughtly the time the Peyton Manning joined their team.
And, for my second and somewhat less important reason, I’m rooting for the Colts because I never want to hear another discussion about Peyton being a great quarterback who can’t win the big one.
Born a Bears fan, will die a Bears fan. Right now, I’m wearing the same clothes I wore to both of the playoff games - same boxers (sorry), socks, t-shirt and Payton road jersey. I have on the sweatpants my late dad wore in front of the TV 21 years ago.
The Bears will run, control the ball, get a key turnover or two, get a run back by Hester and win by 10.
