There’s a song I heard on Monday that I liked, but they didn’t say who it was by or the title. Do the lines " Give it up/I’m not what you’ve been waiting for" sound familiar to anyone? Probably a brand new song played only on alt stations. I hate when this happens But, like the Julianna Hatfield song from last time, I figure I’ll solve the mystery sooner or later.

CD with at least one track for next weeks list: Rilo Kiley - The Execution of All Things.
I like my music to have a certain style, a certain soul to it. John Ralston is a guy (obviously), with a backing band that plays some great music. I’ve been listening to his cd Needle Bed pretty much nonstop, ever since I saw him open for the Get Up Kids (who should’ve been on the list! GAH!). I met him, too!
Props to the poster who suggested Maps, which held the #1 spot for a while.
Week ending 7/29
“Girl” by Beck. It’s permanently embedded in my brain, therefore preventing
me from hearing any other music. And the video is pretty entertaining, too.
Wow, did you actually plan to resurrect this exactly 364 days after its initial death?? That’s pretty amazing.
Anyway, I’ll get back in:
Ha, no. I just thought to myself “it’s been a while since we did this.” You know, the smart thing would have been to wait two more days, so people would have been confused that it at first glance the newest response looked like it was just a day after the first - until they noticed the years
Week ending 7/29:
I don’t know if you knew this or not, but “Why I Cry” is a cover of a song by The Magnetic Fields, one of my favorite bands. Ben Gibbard is apparently a big fan too, as he’s also covered their “The Saddest Story Ever Told.” I recommend you check it out, if you haven’t already.
