You're home in very comfy clothes. Do you change before going to the stores?

In black yoga pants which are not skin-tight, and a t-shirt? Yes, and for this reason I prefer to buy comfy pants in black, and wear those around the house.
Even those are questionable for anything more than a quick grocery or drug store trip, especially during weekend or evening hours, when I know that people I know are out of work and might see me.

Yesterday, about 10 am, we went out for pancakes at the diner down the street and saw a 8-9 year old girl in her pajama pants. At that age, it’s past the point of cute. Then her mom stood up and I saw that she, too, was in her jammies and had clearly not washed her face and hair. That just chaps my hide somethin’ fierce.

If I’m in sweat pants, yeah. That’s just not a sight anyone outside the family needs to see.

Pajamas? I’ve seen people shopping in what looks like pajama pants and yeesh. I have low standards, but not THAT low.

Aside from that, “comfortable around the house” clothing would be jeans or shorts, and of course I wouldn’t change out of those unless, say, I were going clothes shopping - then I’d want to make sure I was dressed appropriately for the type of store I was visiting, or the clothes I was shopping for (good bra, better shoes if shopping for a dress, or whatever).

You left out “Never!” as a choice.

I wear t-shirts and either jeans, or jean shorts and sneakers. I don’t have “comfy clothes” and ‘outside clothes’. My everyday clothes are comfy and suitable for outside.

I pretty much wear the same things - jeans and shirt (usually a polo) - no matter what I’m doing or where I’m going. The only real difference between sitting around the house and going to the store is that I put on my shoes and glasses (and usually a hat) when I leave the house.

I went with #3, but the main question is whether I need a shower or not. If so, that necessitates changing clothes. If I’ve already showered, the most I’ll do is try to tame my unruly hair.

If I’m just running to Wally World or to buy gas and get the papers, and I can wear my winter or heavy fall coat, I will not change clothes nor put on a bra. Summertime’s a whole different story.
