No, not just in Teemings. I am published in a province wide publication for a poem I wrote in grade nine!
Every year there’s a book published called “The Golden Taffy” that is a collection of the best entries of writing from students across Saskatchewan. My teacher asked if she could submit some poems I’d asked her to read, and I said sure, and I’d forgotten about it until my English teacher (a different one) handed it to me and congratulated me.
I finally got around to uploading it to my Geocities. But I made a change or two to make it a tad better. And if you’re looking for a deep meaning, it’s not. It’s literally talking about walking on clouds.
Speaker, sleep well tonight with the knowledge that you make me feel inferior and inadequate and make me want to kill myself because my fragile ego has been bested by a person who lives in one of them there “province” places!
(takes a breath, coughs and then starts again)
But that was a pretty darned-diggity-doogle neaty-poo poem. Congratulations!
