YouTube's new terms and conditions

A while ago, I received a notification about the update of YouTube’s terms and conditions (for European users only). The notification also contained a link to the document/text on YouTube, explaining the changes. But that was it. There was no agreement option, no “Yes” or “No” button to click. Basically, no option to confirm that I am OK with the changes. It did say to go to

if I agreed with the update: “In order to accept the changes, go to www.youtube.com”. I did that, but found no additional notifications or options there. I usually use YouTube on my phone, so I switched to the desktop version and repeated the process. Same thing. (And yes, I was logged in, of course.)
Is that really it? If you agree with the new terms and conditions, just continue using YouTube? No need to fill out some sort of form or click “Yes” somewhere? Just asking. I’m worried that I may be doing something wrong. The notification said the changes will be implemented on July 22nd.

The agreement includes language to the effect that you may use the service if and only if you agree to the conditions and that they may change these conditions at any time. That is, if you don’t like them, don’t use it; if you use it, you have ipso facto agreed to the conditions.

I got that email too (June 19th). As there wasn’t anything I could do (agree or don’t use YouTube, so far as I can tell) I basically ignored it.

This is all part of the google megacorp, right? I have 2 email addresses, gmail and hotmail. I got that email sent to me at gmail but not at hotmail. I assume they (YouTube) just sent the mail to every gmail address, because they had access. You received the notification at your gmail address, I’m guessing?

Yeah, to my gmail account. So, I don’t really have to do anything, true?

I’m not aware of anything. If something pops up, I guess we’ll have to deal with it.
