No, this is not a thread made for a game where nobody uses punctuation.
It is actually about a website where an Australian guy video reviews a game each week, and usually proceeds to rip the game a new one in fantastically new and somewhat crude ways. (Except, of course, if the game is named Portal.)
Anyway, here’s the link to the website. Warning: the video reviews themselves are almost definitely NSFW, but the page that is linked to is a-okay. They are, however, funny enough that they will make you pee your pants with laughter. (Am I speaking from experience? You must watch and find out!)
My particular favorites are his takes on Turok, Burnout: Paradise, and Halo 3.
(I do not claim any responsibility for anything else on the Escapist site because I haven’t bothered to go anywhere else besides Zero Punctuation because it’s clearly the best thing on the site and there’s no reason to go anywhere else.)
A huge criticism of his (from me) is that he refuses to play the online components to these games.
He’s entertaining and funny, though and I do like his reviews, even when he trashes the games I like. Then again, I play a lot more multiplayer than single player.
I’ve only played one of the games he’s reviewed (Manhunt), and yet I find myself waiting eagerly for each new installment. There hasn’t been one yet that hasn’t made me choke on my coffee.
Actually, sometimes he does, but he seems to be of the opinion that it’s not and should not be required unless the game is basically nothing but online play. And he’s not terribly interested in playing against other people. Hence he was pised at Halo which, frankly, offered nothing of interest apart from the multiplayer, but keeps pretending its campaign is worth more than five bucks.
