Zhen'ka

Yeah, thanks. It’s good stuff. At least for what ails me. Doc and I had talked about my hippie days. He asked me, basically, of the drugs I took, which one calmed me the most. I answered instantly, “Quaalude”. He said it’s not available anymore for psychiatric treatment, but that there’s a modern equivalent called “Tranxene”, which comes in slowly and goes out slowly, but it is basically the same thing. He took out his precription pad, and sure enough, it makes me feel tranquil. Calm. (I think it has been instrumental in my loss of nearly 60 pounds so far. I just don’t really care about eating, and I like getting out on the land and working. Feels peaceful and fulfilling.)

Hmmm. Okay, Lib looks like other men I’ve known who were half or more of Iroquoian heritage (genealogically). I knew several growing up and in my earlier adulthood, FWIW. Lib’s father’s picture looks like a Native American Indian gentleman. Lib claims to be of Cherokee (Tsalagi) descent on his father’s side.

Now, it’s possible that he used a chance resemblance and some pictures he picked up at a yard sale somewhere to deceive me and Skull. And, of course, I have no proof that his and his father’s NAI appearance derives from the Cherokee. But this to me is a case of taking people at face value.

If, say, Johnny LA should mention (this being a hypothetical) that he is 1/8 Chiricahua Apache (his father’s maternal grandmother having been of the People), I have no real reason to doubt him, and would give his comments tentative validity, pending some sort of disproof by those who have. With evidence tentatively pointing towards the validity of Lib’s claim, doubtable only by a conspiracy theorist, I felt confident enough in the validity of Lib’s claim of Cherokee descent to vouch for it.

You mentioned this on the phone, and I think it’s great – good for you in many ways. I’m glad!

Thanks, Poly!

What, for free?

Ouch! Okay, I’m leaving, I’m leaving!

You know, somewhere in there was supposed to be the line “I’ve never met **Johnny]b, but in the absence of any real reason to doubt him…” or words to that general effect. I just realized that “…pending some sort of disproof from those who have” had no antecedent whatsoever.

My intention in it anyway was to simply set a hypothetical of a reasonable claim by someone I’ve never met, to show a fortiori how much more confident I could be of Lib’s claim.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone have any idea what Zhen’ka’s major issue with Lib and his claimed ancestry is, anyway?
