According to the IMDb goofs page
It’s Cynthia Knickerbocker, Zombie Kill of the Week winner.
Poor flat bastard.
I waited a while, figuring it would be a perfect Halloween movie. I was right.

I think this was pointed out upthread, but Tallahassee has no idea who that is or would have any reason to know she’s alive.
The better explanation is still “it’s a mistake” or he was including Columbus’ roadside lovin’ with “Beverly Hills”.
Bumping this thread since it’s within 6 months (I think that’s the zombie thread rule- and even if not it’s a zombie movie) and because I just saw the movie for the first time and loved it.
What are some things you’d like to see in the sequel?
-I think that Krista/Wichita should perhaps be pregnant.
-While still in L.A. they learn Betty White survived the zombies but is almost psychotically vicious.
-They should make their way to D.C. and visit the Smithsonian; no idea how secure it would be in a zombie raid but it’d be cool being able to play baseball with the Hope diamond while swinging Babe Ruth’s bat.
-They should get a plane (perhaps with Rowan Atkinson as the drunken pilot)
Two gay twists:
A gang of Dykes on Bykes (with Wanda Sykes as their leader perhaps- though not as Wanda Sykes) have survived and are seeking to breed.
After some advances by a new girl that come across we find out that Tallahassee is gay. (It’d be nice to see a kick-ass zombie killing redneck gay guy, and it wouldn’t contradict anything from the first movie- we know he had a son but we know nothing of the kid’s mother.)
Someone give that poor man a Twinkie!!
One of the things I enjoyed most about the movie was the goals that each character had. Every other zombie movie I’ve seen has one of two goals for the characters- escape to a safe place and continuing civilization, or total destruction of the zombies. These characters do neither- they’re already fairly convinced that there’s nowhere to run to, and there are simply too many zombies to seriously consider killing them all. But these people are still alive, and they need some kind of a goal to work towards, else where would they go to when they do find a car? So Tallahassee spends his life looking for Twinkies. I love this; he’s entirely out of other goals, so he hunts Twinkies. Witchita wants to get her sister to an amusement park because hey, nothing else makes more sense. The idea that survivors would have grandiose schemes of rebuilding civilization is a little optimistic for people who’ve just watched the destruction of civilization, but searching down the last box of Twinkies in the world is quite an achievable goal. For a goofy popcorn movie, I think this is actually a pretty good portrayal of human behavior.
Oh, and Woody Harrelson is excellent. Jesse Eisenberg is OK. Bill Murray is a superstar, as always.
Even some of his dramatic stuff?
My FIL watched this show and chuckled throughout…and zombie movies are so not him.
The one thing that I thought should have happened with the first movie is confirmed to be happening in the sequel: 3D!
stares meaningfully Bill Murray doesn’t do dramatic stuff. Only comedy.
I just watched this on Netflix last night. My, what a cool, funny, slick movie. I really enjoyed the neurotic behavior of Columbus, it was an excellent “odd couple” effect with Harrelson’s character.
What kinda struck me was just how sad Columbus’ life was before the virus. I think he even mentions something to the effect that it took everyone turning into zombies for him to finally start living.
Anyway…an absolute blast of a movie.
So, is this a “Zombie” thread…
eh, I’ll go now.
Damn, we’re lucky this didn’t get shut down within minutes of being started!
And, sequel?
I saw it in the theatre and rewatched it again on Netflix last week. It’s a buddy movie with comedy, scams, romance, and zombies! Great movie.
While the mods are away, the zombies will play…
This is the part where you learn who you gonna call.
I like where your heads at with the psychobiddie arc.
Sampiro, have you seen ChopperChicks in Zombietown? Warning it blows chunks
Can we reanimate all zombie threads? I mean, not ‘zombie’ threads, but threads about zombies - for some hot double zombie action? Double zombie Friday…
MMmmmm zombies!
I hear the sequel will be in 3D like the original should have been…
