What do you think of Japanese girls and White guys being couples?

I have lived in Chicago for a long time, but lately I see a lot of white guys with Japanese girls. 10 years ago this was uncommon. When I see the Japanese girls they are all realy cute, but the same age American girls are big fatsos and look old.

This made me think that having a Japanese girlfriend would be nice. What do you think?

I understand the feeling of insult, but this is a legitimate concern fo mine. Why does everyone have ham globuals of lard glooshing over their tight jeans. Do these people not have mirrors? Is stating this well known fact illegal? Look in any TJMAX and you will know what I am talking about.

It is more like a killing spree of my eyes than anything. And to the guy who is married to the Japanese woman. Your are lucky. PLease introduce me to your wife's friends, I am sure they feel the same. You said what I said is offensive, but ask your wife what she thinks...I bet she agrees that there is a weight problem ( in addition to dressing like slobs) here in the US. Has everyone forgotten what a woman should look like?

ohlssonvox, provided this thread has not already been closed (I doubt that it will be moved) before I press Submit, I will point out a few errors in your OP:

1. This is not a General Question with a factual answer. It is an expression of your opinions that Japanese girls are extraordinarily pretty and that white girls in the Chicago region are inordinately overweight. As such, it belongs in either the IMHO Forum or the MPSIMS forum.

2. General expressions of beauty based on ethnicity as if they were fact are inherently insulting. There isa nothing wrong with an expression of appreciation in which one notes that his or her personal preferences are for blondes, tall people, skiiny-to-the-point-of-boneyness people, or members of the !Kung bush groups. Claiming that any of those (or other) traits are the ideal of beauty to which all others should aspire or die of shame is silly--and insulting to those whose appearance differs.

3. Your final question as to whether you should pursue a woman based solely on her ethnicity is just silly. (Were I Pygmalion, Galatea would be very tall, willowy (but curved), and raven-tressed. However, the woman with whom I fell in love and married is barely medium height, blonde, and compact.) Basing a relationship on appearance is a sure sign of immaturity.

4. Defying people who have pointed out that you have posted in the wrong Forum on the grounds that your question is "legitimate" indicates that you have not read the descriptions of the Forums (not a good sign) and that you are not interested in following proper posting etiquette (really bad sign).

When this thread has been locked, you might begin it anew in the appropriate Forum (preferably with a bit more circumspection). If this thread is simply moved to a new Forum, I would suggest re-thinking the issue and trying to form a question that will not be insulting.

Polls and surveys belong in IMHO, not GQ. I won't move this thread because your statement "American girls are big fatsos and look old" is inflamatory and invites like-minded responses. Such statements belong in the BBQ Pit and not in any other forum. You may start a new thread about Japanese/White relationships in IMHO, but leave the bile out of it.
