why not ontario dopefests?

I can't be the only one from Ontario, Canada?

They sound like a lot of fun - although I'm new to board - there's some great guys and girls with plenty of humour and funny stories.

Well, there was a OttaDope last March and a couple of years before that there was a TorDope. The best way to insure one is to organize one.

Because it's too freakin' cold outside.

But seriously, once I manage to unfreeze my tongue from my car door, I'd be interested in a TorDope assuming I'm back at home. Or else I might have to settle for a my own little WinDope party.

Hey, I'd totally be up for a TorDope... when it gets a bit warmer.

I'm up for a TorDope as well. Gotta warm up with some hot chocolate, visit the Shrine of Timmy, and keep the kudzu-like alien mutants known as Krispy Kreme from taking over...

The last few times, Cerowyn has been the moving force behind TorDopes, but I haven't seen him on the boards for a while, so we may need to make alternate arrangements.

Hmm. Whaddaya say we meet in early February or in April? I'm gonna be tied up with helping my Dad prepare for his move during March...

A central Toronto location? Convenient to parking and transport?

*bump*

Hmm. Looks like our charming and beautiful winter weather ("Hey! It's warm out! It got up to -8!!") has scared people off again.

If anyone's still interested, I could make the dinner reservation once we have come to a consensus...

SARS was LAST year! Please come back!

We should meet at The Mandarin, that's my new favorite spot when I drive to Toronto.

There had been talks of a TorDope for last October... and I vaguely recall Kwijibo talking about perhaps a Niagara Dope at some point - but all was eclipsed by Doperéal. So there was no Tordope this past year.

There probably will be when (if) the weather gets warm again. It seesm to work better in the summer because people bend holiday time around it.

Not early February! Mr. Lissar and I will be in Texas until the 11th! Mid-February or something!

And TTC accessible.

There were plans for something in the Fall, but they got lost or something. Right now it's too freaking cold to go outside except to hunt for groceries.

You go out for groceries in this weather? I was sizing up my cats for the stew pot until we found some Kraft Dinner in a dark corner of the cupboard.

I just got home from Ontario!

Anyway, yeah, that could be fun. If it inspires anyone, here are pictures from the last TorDope (two years ago this coming summer, if you can believe it!)
