TorontoDope!

C’mon guys, it’s been a while since our last Dopefest… who’s up for it?

Okay! Where and when?

Have it in Winnipeg

After October 1st, and I may be able to make it. And I’ll bring pictures of Sweden!

Sweeeedennn…

(wanna go back)

October sounds good! We can be all brisk and autumnal.

And freezing our arses off. Okay, okay, let’s see…

How about… October 8th, in the evening… any suggestions for restaurants or activities?

Bump!

What do people think of these restaurants:

Prego Della Piazza
Centro Grill and Wine Bar
North 44
Auberge du Pommier
St. Louis Bar and Grill

Any other ideas?

Those restaurants sound great, although let’s not write off Scaramouche so soon.

Your treat, I assume?

Oh I may be visiting Toronto then, so depending on when it is and my schedule I might attend.

I have to admit that I am unfamiliar with all of them, but then I am not really a foodie. If it has good basic non-fancy food, it’s good enough for me.

On the other hand, how about one of the restaurants in Little India, such as Siddhartha?

Er. Eh heh heh heh heh… :o

Sunspace! What were you saying about Siddhartha, hon?

I’ll be in Tokyo until the 24th, so clearly my vote doesn’t count. But, perhaps I can offer the benefit of my experience in organizing past Toronto 'fests:

Successful venues used so far: Armadillo’s, Lone Star Grill, Tortilla Flats (sensing a pattern?!?), C’est What, Montana’s (John & Richmond location)

Not-so-successful venues: Alice Fazooli’s, Joe’s

This is probably not necessary to say, but if you’re choosing a Saturday, make sure you choose a venue that takes reservations.

C’est What sounds like a really fantastic idea, actually. Who votes we meet there? g

(We’ll miss you, Cerowyn! :()

C’est What sounds good to me too…
