Toronto area Dopers?

I was planning a trip to the Toronto area in about a week, but my plans changed. I still would like to make a trip in a month or so. I know there are quite a few Canadian Dopers, but how many in the Toronto area? Stand and be counted! Do any of you have regular get togethers?

Hamilton, here.

I’m here! I’ve yet to see a meeting, though.

Yep, take my vote too.

Sorry I’m late but there was trouble at the lab with the monkeys and the biting and the screaming and the pulling of hair and such. I’m here! Oakville resident by night, Toronto employee day!

My fate keeps getting in the way of my destiny.

Oakville? Rich guy, huh?

Etobicoke here. Well, it used to be. We got taken over by Toronto a couple of years ago. It was a bloodless coup.

Doesnt anybody ever come to Alberta?

We are, each of us angels with only one wing, and we can only fly by embracing one another

I wouldn’t totally rule out a Toronto meeting, but with two plus hour drive it would have to coincide with my days off. And of course in March, weather would certainly be a factor.

Gee, Wally…I’m not a rich Oakville guy. In fact, I was born and raised in Etobicoke. Just a stones throw from the Long Branch GO Train station…swilling beer at the Eastwood…riding the Lakeshore Streetcar…getting a burger and fries at “Arnold’s.” (Yes, dopers, same name at the Happy Days hang-out, only 10 times cooler and nowhere near as clean!)

Wow!

I used to live on 42nd. St.

Right across from Marie Curtis Park.

And Ive hoisted a few at the Eastwood, back when Bob Laurent owned the joint.

Sounds like there are enough of you guys, so why don’t you guys set up a meet? I would do it myself, but I’m in California and I don’t know exactly when I’ll be back next. :frowning:

Yeah, Toronto here.

CanadianSue - i know what you mean, no one ever comes to Manitoba either. It’s not that bad here.

Does the noise in my head bother you?

Okay, Wally. This is getting creepy. I was raised on Hilo Road. And (True Fact!) Marie Curtis (yes, the one the park is named after) is my aunt. Who wasn’t a friend of Bob and Paul. (Many’s the time I got loaded in Paul’s Pub, downstairs at the 'wood. Like i said. This is getting creepy…

Poysyn and CanadianSue, i’m just as lonely sandwiched in the middle. :frowning:
