Toronto area Dopers?

Poysyn, Ive been to Manitoba many times. I spent alot of my childhood in Lac Du Bonnet where my mother had family. Saskatchew and Manitoba are the lost provinces I think. There are many beautiful parts to them… maybe we should meet in the middle and have a western canada meet

I apologize, my typing sucks big time today.

CanadianSue,

I’m in Alberta, Calgary to be exact. I’m still a relative newbie to posting, although I have been lurking around here for a significant amount of time. It still amazes me how small the world can be - freaky actually.

CandianSue - I have no problem with that, actually I go to Saskatoon quite a bit (my dad lives there.

drollman, you’re scaring me. What are the odds?

Say, are you the guy that stole the cop cruiser when the flatfoots were in Arnold’s snorking down a free cheeseburger?

Oh, wait, that was me. I drove it down to Lake Prom and left it there. It was on a dare.

I was young. Okay, I was drunk, too.

Hey you Westerners. Start your own damn thread!

“I thought: opera, how hard can it be? Songs. Pretty girls dancing. Nice scenery. Lots of people handing over cash. Got to be better than the cut-throat world of yoghurt, I thought.” - Seldom Bucket

Yeah, Moosie. What are they doing here?

Aren’t they the guys that said let the Eastern bastards freeze in the dark?

Actually, I believe we also said we don’t want any of you Eastern bums and scum coming out here looking for jobs.

That’s my boy Ralphie for ya!

I’m impressed, Wally! I always thought that was a Long Branch Urban Legend…like the GO Train “taking your picture” if you were walking the tracks or “Deadman’s Hill” at the golf course.

My fate keeps getting in the way of my destiny.

Nope, it’s true, drollman. I did it about 25 years ago. My friends and I still talk about it. My wife thinks it’s bullshit to this day. Jumped out at Lake Prom, walked, okay ran, up 41st to James and over to 42nd and home. Never did find out what happened, but we pissed ourselves laughing.

I know. Crazy. Me, the father of grown children and a business of my own.

Lakeview? I hate that fucking course.

Don’t get me started. Never broke 100 there in my life.

Poysyn - your dad lives in saskatoon? well hell, that’s where i’m from.

“If anybody wants a sheep, that is proof that he exists.”

Another resident (second-class) of Oakville here… I say second-class because I rent rather than own a house.

One of these days I’m going to leave the Land of Chemlawn and move downtown and get some excitement in my life.

(Dodging bullets is excitement… )

Rigardu, kaj vi ekvidos.

Hey, Wally. You live on 42nd Street, house or apartment?
Apartment with “Williams” as the super?
House south of James? Below Hilo? Around the old “Quinn” place…or maybe by the “Beicks” Or maybe the old “O’Donnell” place at the corner of Lake Preom & 42nd (If it hasn’t been torn down)

Or maybe I should just keep my big mouth shut!

My fate keeps getting in the way of my destiny.

“Apartment with “Williams” as the super?”
Bingo. Taffy Williams and his lovely wife Mary.

It was so long ago I forget the address. I think it was 88 42nd. St.

Mail me your name. We might know each other.

Getting back to the topic, Iyamity is still here, lurking in Brampton.

Mega the Roo - Ya, he just moved there two years ago. I’m heading out there in a few weeks.

Hey Poysyn, stop in Edmonton for a beer

Yo Wally! We’re getting closer. Didn’t the William’ has a son named “Martin”? He was my sister’s boyfriend for about 7 years.

My fate keeps getting in the way of my destiny.

Right again, drollman. Geez, you know everything,
