Poysyn, Ive been to Manitoba many times. I spent alot of my childhood in Lac Du Bonnet where my mother had family. Saskatchew and Manitoba are the lost provinces I think. There are many beautiful parts to them… maybe we should meet in the middle and have a western canada meet
We are, each of us angels with only one wing, and we can only fly by embracing one another
I’m in Alberta, Calgary to be exact. I’m still a relative newbie to posting, although I have been lurking around here for a significant amount of time. It still amazes me how small the world can be - freaky actually.
“I thought: opera, how hard can it be? Songs. Pretty girls dancing. Nice scenery. Lots of people handing over cash. Got to be better than the cut-throat world of yoghurt, I thought.” - Seldom Bucket
I’m impressed, Wally! I always thought that was a Long Branch Urban Legend…like the GO Train “taking your picture” if you were walking the tracks or “Deadman’s Hill” at the golf course.
Nope, it’s true, drollman. I did it about 25 years ago. My friends and I still talk about it. My wife thinks it’s bullshit to this day. Jumped out at Lake Prom, walked, okay ran, up 41st to James and over to 42nd and home. Never did find out what happened, but we pissed ourselves laughing.
I know. Crazy. Me, the father of grown children and a business of my own.
Hey, Wally. You live on 42nd Street, house or apartment?
Apartment with “Williams” as the super?
House south of James? Below Hilo? Around the old “Quinn” place…or maybe by the “Beicks” Or maybe the old “O’Donnell” place at the corner of Lake Preom & 42nd (If it hasn’t been torn down)
