And the "Asshole of the Day Award" goes to the guy who kicked a dog like a football

I know there are people who have worse things today than kick and kill a dog, but I hope the next time I hear about a dog attacking a person on the news it is this guy who gets attacked.

I know people do things like that but I cannot fathom the motivation or pleasure pursuant to that kind of act. Perhaps it is genetic.

I’d gladly pay the 25k bail for Mr. Crawford, if it purchased me the ability to do to his head what he did to that little, helpless dog. Prick.

The fact that you can’t understand this kind of behavior speaks for your humanity.

Unfortuately, there is a group of drooling smooth-brained idiots who equate callousness with macho-toughness. Cats and small dogs are often a target. There is something about the aloofness and independence of cats and the tiny self-importance of small dogs that threaten these guys’ masculinity.

My husband knew a guy in high school who liked to talk at length about how he wanted to join the army to become a sniper, and described in detail the qualifications and how well he matched him. Just to assert his toughness and intimidate people. Animal abusers fall into the same category of dangerous moron.

Now my mind is whirring at 60 mph. I should kick myself for opening this thread.

I can only hope that Karma catches up with them. That’s pretty damn cruel.

Well, if we are talking about cats; well that would be entirely a different thing.

Well, at the risk of appearing politically incorrect, it’s generally agreed down here in Australia that because our local fauna is so endangered by the introduction of feral foxes and cats that few people if any shed a tear when a feral cat is shot by a recreational hunter.

But that’s feral cats of course. Same deal with feral foxes. There’s barely a marsupial under a foot high which isn’t on the verge of extinction down here due to the feral problem. It’s quite common to find a watering hole in the outback and there’s zero life - everything has died - and the last skeleton to lay it’s bones was a feral cat.

Still, culling feral pests is a different thing entirely to callous cruelty as exemplified in the OP.

I understand the cruelty charge, but why did he get nabbed for vandalism?

Basically, destruction of private property. The dog is also considered someone’s property, and it was valued at over $1500.

Unfortunately, this whole incident took place about half a mile from where I live. It was our front page story yesterday and today. What an asshole.

Hmmmm….cruelty to animals – soulless, vacant gaze – who else thinks that this won’t be the last time Chad makes the news? :frowning:

Go fuck yourself, dickhead.

As the loving guardian of a cat that someone beat, put out cigarettes on, and then cut the ears off, I can only say that was a repulsive thing to say.

Yeah, we’re none too pleased about this here in Nashville.

I’m a cat person, but I recognized this as a joke. Lighten up, people. As for “karma” catching up with him, this is one of those times when I wish karma actually existed.

It very possibly was. That’s why I gave my own background in my reply.

And there are people like Scumpup on the boards, which tells me that some people aren’t joking.

Is it wrong to wish that this guy gets at least a year of jail time, during which he gets donkey punched nightly?

If so, I don’t want to be right.

There’s a video clip of an advertisement for some lottery. I have it but I don’t have the bandwidth to post it. A guy is walking across a lonely soccer field and sees this small dog just sitting there in front of the goal. You can tell what goes through the guy’s mind. . . he looks around to make sure nobody can see him and then starts running towards the dog. . . . but when he gets to the dog and is going to kick it, the dog opens a huge mouth and bites off the guy’s leg.

I think it is rooted in human nature. We like power and we like to feel powerful. We like the feeling of power and control over things and more if it is over people. It is education and instillment of values which channel this into positive facets like gaining power by making money and becoming rich but the root is the same. Children, especially boys, have a fascination with hurting animals because it is an experience of being in control of others.

Frankly, when I see those video clips of American gunships and helicopters firing and killing people and then I see people in bulleting boards cheering, I think it is the same primal instinct of feeling powerful, even if in this case it is by proxy and if they want to justify it by saying those killed were bad guys who deserved it or maybe they were innocent but, hey, the ends being pursued are good and so it is just too bad if innocents are killed. What they like is the feeling of power and control. They think “I’m an American and we kick ass” and they feel powerful.

If the story was that, after kicking the dog he tripped and broke his leg, or a bigger dog bit him, a lot of people would be cheering because it would be denying him that feeling of power. It is like saying “look, now the tables have turned and you are at the mercy of others”. It is good that those who abuse the power they have pay a price because it is a lesson that power should not be abused. We want the abuser to pay a price for his abuse. Even if he was someone we knew or even loved, we know what he did was wrong and he should pay as a lesson to him and to others

Not that I am making light of a guy kicking a dog but, frankly, it is like a drop in a sea of human suffering. I am much more upset by the images of human suffering coming out of Iraq these days. When I see images of men, women and children being killed due to the greed and arrogange of some people half way around the world I am not surprised that the natural reaction of many bystanders is that they would love to see the agressors defeated and humiliated just like we want to see the guy who kicked the dog is taught a lesson. It is human nature.

What does it mean to be donkey punched?

Kinda like it’s human nature to want to bomb the shit out of people who flew airplanes into our buildings? Vicious cycle, ain’t it?

From Getoffended.com

Donkey Punch is a very disturbing sexual manuever that we here at getoffended.com neither condone or have ever attempted. This is where, during doggystyle sexual activity, the man punches his partner as hard as he can in the back of the skull right before he reaches climax. This causes her to convulse and tighten every cavity. The man then holds on for the best orgasm of his life. Unfortunately this manuever is not at all pleasurable for the female partner.
