This fucking sub human makes me want to
a) run home and hug my rat terrier
b) puke
I’ll say it again, there is a special place in hell for people who hurt animals.
I am also in the belief that there is a special place in hell for animal abusers–especially dogs, even more so for puppies.
These are animals that put their trust into us, especially since we are the ones that bring them into our homes. I have never understood the why someone could do that to a puppy that doesn’t know better.
Well, here’s my dream situation for this guy (especially because he’s 72 years old): He’s getting on in years, and after a while, he gets dumped into a rest home because no one else in his family gives a shit about him anymore. When he wets his pants because he can’t make it to the bathroom in time, the angry, underpaid orderlies smack him around and hose him down with cold water. Doesn’t feel like eating? Some more smacking around and well, if he’s not eating, he can go without other meals. Don’t feel like a nap? Tough shit, get your ass in bed <a few more gratuitous smacks>. Any personal belongings slowly disappear. No one comes to visit. He starts to decline, but the doctors don’t care. He dies a lonely, bitter man with no one to claim him.
Then he goes to that special hell made for animal abusers.
Excuse me while I go give my golden retriever a hug
Hey, Java, I like your eye-for-an-eye type idea. That would be quite the fitting punishment for jerks like that. It’s one thing to smack a dog on the snout to teach it right from wrong, but it’s just not right to kick it so hard it even gets CLOSE to dying. You don’t need to cause serious injury. This guy needs, among MANY other things, is some anger management counseling and a nice old fashioned ass kicking.
Java, I’m betting that very thing is occuring right now. I hope to God his girlfriend (at 72?) dumped his worthless ass
Just in case, I am willing to volunteer my time to make the rest of his life a living hell. Let me know.
That won’t teach him, you gotta rub his nose in it.
Damn! I wish I hadn’t seen that. I think some of you know how I feel about abused animals. For those who don’t know, I used to volunteer to help rehabilitate them after they’ve been taken from their worthless owners. This is a very touchy subject for me.
What an asshole. I never understand what goes through the minds of people like this.
I would also like to offer my services, shay519. What’s especially frustrating about animal abusers is that many of them see the animal soley as property, as opposed to creatures who at the very least deserve decent treatment, even if the owner isn’t the kind of person who loves animals. I mean I can see not being an animal lover, some people just don’t form bonds with critters, but cruelty makes me ill.
I wish I could hug your golden too…I love goldens.
As for the filth referred to here… that is fitting. With nose rubbing and some severe beating. Poor puppy.
Thanks for your support Rosebud. I have a Minature Pinscher
who was given to me by a fellow veterinary tech.(I am now retired from the field, I’m allergic to cats)
This Min Pin was purchased from a puppy mill for probably some ungodly sum of money, and then completely neglected and probably abused and then brought into my friends hospital to be “put to sleep”
The woman let her nails grow so long they curled under and impaled her pads which were infected and she could barely walk. She was bald…basically a mess…this ‘alleged human’ wanted her put to sleep because she was too much trouble! My friend took the dog away from her and they kept her at the hospital for about 6 months. Lilly (that is the dog’s name) is the sweetest soul on the planet. She has no idea she should be one of those yippy, snapping dogs with a napoleonic complex. She loves people. I take her to retirement and convelesent homes to visit residents. I think Lilly has more fun. On Christmas eve day, she made sure that every resident of the nursing home had a clean face before she left. (we got there just in time for ice cream) So, now she has a great life, but her nails are a huge problem. I try to keep them really short because they are so close to her pads, but she is terrified of the nail clippers. She drools and I can only cut one nail about every 10 minutes. I have to hold her and calm her inbetween
If I could find her original owner, I would drive a dog nail clipper through her forhead, and ask her if she thought it was too much trouble.
OK when I saw the thread title I though… unless the bastard abused a kid no way for a slow painful death.
But a puppY the sick bastard… and I have a Jack Russel and hope he pays for his evil.
Osip
Java, I just keep liking you more and more. Turnabout is fair play no?
For me the phrase, “Shot and hung after torture”, came to mind, but we’ll gloss over that for now.
shay519, your story struck only slightly more deeper because here is an exception to the rule (a well behaved toy dog), not only being given a second shot at life, but giving life itself to people who are at the end of their tether. Thank you so much for sharing. Now I shall do the same.
The first dog that I ever owned was “Bear Dog”. He was your standard Heinz 57 varieties mutt. I called him a “pure bred mutt”. He was a random breed. All six of his siblings were pitch black with a white star or some boots or socks. Bear Dog came out snow white with brown eyes and dark lips, he was a genitic “sport”. The father was obviously a black lab, because the dam was a blonde Keeshound (sp) and German Shepherd with (according to legend) part Coyote. Bear Dog proved this by tracking and even fishing (I have pictures to prove it). Bear was trained to over sixty commands in his prime.
Bear sired a litter of seven puppies with an albinoid shep-terrier bitch. All of them came out almost perfect carbon copies of Bear. One of the pups was given to a family that I knew who were fairly well off. Progress reports revealed that Torbeorn (Danish for the bear escorts that accompanied the thunder God Thor) was so spoiled that he would only drink milk and not water. Sadly, he was also so pooorly trained that they eventually gave Torbeorn back to me a few years later because he was so ill behaved.
After coaxing him out of his shell and developing this animal into a loving and friendly companion, one day he suddenly began to sniffle, with one nostril running. I figured that he had suffled up a foxtail. The next morning, both eyes and both nostrils were running. Of course, I immediately took him to the vet.
I asked the vet what should be done for Torbeorn. The vet replied that Torbeorn should be put down immediately. I said “WTF!”. Torbeorn had the most advanced case of distemper that the vet had ever seen in his career. He told me that Torbeorn would only infect other animals and that he had poor chances of survival. I told the vet, “Like Hell!”, and requested that he give Torbeorn a full megadose of antibiotics et al.
I took Torbeorn home and gave him high nutrition wet food and cold water for several days. I cannot tell you the glee I felt when this lovely animal came through his illness with not a single trace of deafness, lameness, neuralgia or blindness that is common to distemper infected dogs.
Try to imagine the rage I felt, that a well to do family would not even bother to innoculate a splendid creature but, nonetheless, spoil him with milk instead of water!
You cannot know how blessed I feel that ten years after the death of Torbeorn’s father, Bear Dog, I have in my life a carbon copy of both animals known as Zen (my wolf hybrid). The joy is indescribable as I watch Zen gain knowledge and trickery commensurate with his spiritual grandfather, Bear Dog.
Thanks for letting me vent about something that occured over twenty years ago. It still rankles my @ss.
I agree wholeheartedly. Crucifiction would be too kind. This asshole has just moved to #2 on my list of people I’d like to treat that way.
I don’t have any more sympathy for this guy than anyone else, but 2 years in prison for THIS? I’ve heard of lesser terms for beating PEOPLE, for crying out loud!
I feel for that poor dog, and I definitely think he should be punished somehow, but years in prison is a little extreme. Somethings not quite right down Rhode Island way.
On the other hand, if he was THAT mad, why didn’t he just kill the dog outright? Isn’t it kind of odd that abusing a dog so that it dies is a crime, but killing it outright is not? (Maybe not kill it himself, but have a vet put it to sleep)
I wonder if the dog’s owner is still his girlfriend?
I wonder if the vets would’ve refused to treat the dog if it didn’t have insurance?
I nearly started crying in the middle of that… I had to shut the window before I started getting misty at work…

That man Sickens me. I hope he burns and rots in HELL…
Bastard **
I could tell it was going to be about cruelty to dogs and couldn’t even bear to click on it and read it. I’m haunted and sickened for days by stories like this.
My husband likes to say that in hell, the torture reserved for a dog abuser is to have the jerk tied to a post and let ravenous little chihuahuas devour his privates.
Zenster, kudos to you for nursing Torbeorn out of distemper; from what I understand, not very many dogs can survive a bout of it, even with skilled care.
{group hug}
Rottweiler, German Shepherd and Doberman at home. I love dogs . . .
I was at my (now former) psychiatrist’s office waiting for an appointment when I saw two kids poking their dog in the nose and doing other really annoying things to them . . .
Anger is building in me too much right now to tell the rest of the story. But they now know why they must never do that again (I didn’t hurt them).
It is just a dog.
That does not make what the guy did right, it does not mean he shouldn’t be punished. But really, many of you are way over-reacting.
If the guy had beat up an elderly woman, none of you would be advocating his death, but kill a dog and that’s.
I love animals. I would never hurt an animal. But you all are forgetting that it is just an animal!
I didn’t click on the link, and I won’t. I’ve read enough of this thread to know that, had I read the link, I’d just get completely pissed off.
People that abuse animals often abuse people. I just hope that since the guy is 72, that he won’t be around too much longer and have many more chances to hurt anyone or anything.
Two years? Sounds good to me.
There is no such thing as JUST an animal.
Oy. I live in RI, and used to work at Newport Creamery (not the one mentioned in the article however). This is a pretty small state, I feel guilty by association! Fucker.
Things like this make me rethink my position on Hammurabi’s Code…
