New "Celebrity Apprentice" cast announced

Cyndi Lauper, Sharon Osborne, Bret Michaels, and some other people. Including, possibly, disgraced Illinois gov Rod Blagojevich.

Link, with a seriously unflattering pic of Cyndi Lauper (who, dammit, I like).

Do not Ms. Osbourne and Mr. Michaels realize that their mugs being constantly on TV seriously limits the exciting, "celebrity" angle? There's nothing fun about seeing a professional reality tv star doing, er, more reality tv. Now Ms. Lauper, I'd tune in for (I think she looks a bit like Angela from the Office in that picture.)

Its also hard to believe that some people would want to be on this show, after Joan Rivers made such a fool of herself last year. Joan lost a lot of fans after showing how mean she really is.

I used to think Joan was kidding when she joked and insulted other people, but now we know that Joan is being serious when she says mean things.

I also can't believe anyone would watch this anymore after what happened last year with Annie Duke, and Joan Rivers.

Joan Rivers did not do the best job on last years competition, and did NOT!!!! deserve to be the Celebrity Apprentice, by any measure.

If the best candidate does not win, then what is the point of watching?

The point is pretty much been reduced to watching D-list and below "celebrities" humiliate themselves pretending that Donald Trump is somehow still a relevent business person.

I bet the final SHOWDOWN is between Carol Leifer and Sharon Osbourne, just because they seem to have the best heads among the cast, from what I can tell about them.

Bret Michaels is dense so he'll be around for a few episodes so he can create drama. One of my favorite Late Night w/ Conan interviews was with Bret Michaels during the writers strike and had Conan make fun of the man without him seeming to notice. Then Michaels gave Conan a guitar and Conan played it better than Bret did.

Meh, I'd still do her.

Time after time?

I thought last season's cast was weak. This one is pathetic.

I love the last sentence of the linked article:

Seth Meyers joked on Saturday Night Live's "Weekend Update" that the new cast of Celebrity Apprentice reduces the meaning of "celebrity" to "mammal."

New Celebrity Apprentice Cast Revealed

Bret Michaels, Sharon Osbourne and Cyndi Lauper.

Nine others are joining them, including — for now — former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, who was impeached last year and is facing federal racketeering, extortion and fraud charges. He's accused of trying to trade state government business for campaign cash and of trying to sell the U.S. Senate seat vacated by President Barack Obama".

I dont get it.

Rod Blagojevich is ok, but Khloe Kardashian is not because she obeyed a judge's order?

Tell me again why Khloe was fired last year?

This show is garbage, illogical, makes no sense, and is a total waste of time.

Celebrity Apprentice Khloe Kardashian Fires Back at Being Fired

Khloe was fired last night, not because of her performance on the task (creating a viral video for All), but because Donald Trump said he would have never allowed her to do the show had he known she had a DUI.

In the boardroom, instead of firing Clint Black, (who obviously should have been fired after fumbling the viral video task), Trump started lecturing Khloe about her DUI....Trump claims he didn't know that Khloe had missed the last task because of her DUI court order. Khloe told Seacrest she felt he had to know...she hadn't kept it a secret and everyone else on the show knew.

Um, because there are other opinions in the world about who was the best candidate? Joan Rivers may have lost some fans, but she gained others, like myself. Annie Duke was a total dick and Joan deserved to win, in my opinion.

Then what does that make Joan Rivers?

And, come on. She threw herself out of the competition, then came back and won?

I enjoy Curtis Stone ("The Take Out Chef") and Cyndi Lauper so this won't be too bad. As a Chicagoan, I'm looking forward to seeing how G-Rod fares as well.

Let's not rehash last season again, okay? There's been plenty of bile spilled on that debacle already.
