The truly good stuff comes from the man’s campaign website, where he promises, among other things “[he] will NEVER use Artificial Intelligence look alike to voice what The Representative’s Office is doing nor own a robot look alike.”
Typical politician… delivering promises that he doesn’t intend to keep.
Oh, good. He ran two years ago as a Democrat but switched to the Republican party this time around. Well, that’s good, because I think we all know that Democrats are soft on the robot-look-alikes issue.
People thinking someone has been replaced by a “double”, even though the accusation is completely absurd, is often a sign of brain malfunction. Though usually it is a close relative, not a political opponent.
Or, more seriously - not all delusions or bizzare paranoid theories are actually signs of organic damage to the brain. It just so happens that this one is a well-recognized and stereotypical one that often is.
I initially read that as crapgas delusion, and wondered if it was a problem related to inhaling exceedingly strong fumes (like from the NorthEast corner of the parking lot at Neptune’s Net).
Aren’t there candidacy requirements in our laws that require nominees to be sane? I mean, I had a friend who was told, “If you have your son institutionalized as part of the treatment for his violent outbursts, he will never be allowed to run for President.” She responded, “Oh! I can protect him from that, too? Where do I sign?”
